Setting Weight Maintenance Range
I feel the most comfortable weighing 150 lbs, but I know I can't maintain this same exact weight every time I step on the scale. I decided I am going to cut down to 146 lbs to give me room to fluctuate around and thus giving me a 5 pound maintenance range. This will put me lower down in the BMI 22 unit and I hopefully plan…

What does being physically fit actually mean to you and can anyone acheive this?
For many people on these forums being fit is desirable, but I feel like each person has their own definition of what that means and I want to hear your opinions. For example: Is being fit just the same as being healthy? Is it a certain level of strength and musculature? Can anyone regardless of weight realistically achieve…

Feeling dizzy/fatigued every time I stand up
For the past while now, whenever I'm sitting or laying down and decide to get up I experience an uncomfortable amount of pain in my head leaving me dizzy or exhausted. At first I thought I just wasn't feeling well and it would pass eventually, but this has been going on for awhile now and I'm starting to feel worse. I'm…

Would I lose muscle if I ate my maintenance calories, but didn't eat enough protein?
I was wondering if I was eating enough calories to maintain my weight, but wasn't consuming enough protein that my body needed. Would I still remain the same weight if I were eating my maintenance calories or would weight loss (muscle loss) still occur regardless of calorie intake?

80/15/5
I recently started tracking my macronutrients and found that I eat a high amount of carbs in my diet. My average calorie breakdown comes to 80% Carbohydrates/15% Fat/ 5% Protein. My carb intake is high and my protein intake is low, but I feel I have enough energy throughout the day and don't feel sluggish at all. Does…

Sodium's affect on water retention
The recommended intake for sodium on MyFitnessPal is 2,300 milligrams, but this is upper intake that people should generally have. If someone were to cut down to 1,500 milligrams of sodium a day, would there be a considerable amount of less water retention? I heard around the internet that 400 milligrams of extra sodium…

Using carbohydrates as only calorie source
I was thinking about a what if scenario about a person getting calories only from carbs in a caloric deficit. So with no fat or protein to accompany the carbs, would the person lose more muscle than fat? Also, what are the side affects with a diet like this?

Is drinking 3 pints of water a day enough to stay hydrated?
I know MyFitnessPal recommends 8 cups of water a day (4 pints), but I still feel hydrated and have enough energy to get through the day drinking 3 pints of water on average. I was wondering if it is possible I am still dehydrated and just don't know it, and am curious if anyone else drinks the same amount as me.

MyFitnessPal
Hello everyone! My name is Anthony and this is not my first time on MyFitnessPal. I had created an account prior to this one, but was having a lot of problems with it so I decided to start fresh and create a new account. I am 5'8" 150 lbs with no plan to lose or gain weight. I am content with my weight as it is and have…
