What's your biggest frustration?
Too much info and don't know where to start? Not enough time? Not seeing results despite doing everything "right"? For me, it was feeling like I was putting in all the effort and still not seeing results. And thinking that I'm that gal one who's different from all my friends who has to go to the gym just to eat what I…

What do you consider to be a balanced meal? How do you portion your plate?
There's a lot of theories...I'm guessing most of you look at protein/carb/fats ratio to balance your meals? Some people balance by looking at portions - perhaps 1/4 grains, 1/4 protein, 1/2 veggies. In food energetics it's balanced from yin to yang which really changes the focus on portions. For me, I now think more about…

What do you think of people who are naturally slim?
I used to think they were just genetically blessed whereas I would have to work at it for the rest of my life. What about you?

Why do you think you self-sabotage?
I remember times when I made it to my goal weight, got psyched, then for "some reason" I would gain weight back and be miserable again. It didn't logically make sense on a conscious level! I also hear people say "I know what I HAVE to do, but I just can't seem to get myself to do it. I lost weight and was SO happy and I…

What were some "food rules" you had growing up? How does it affect you, today?
ie) "Finish everything on your plate" "No dessert unless you eat your vegetables" For me, sweets were a no-no. I even remember my parents taking my Halloween candy to their offices to give to other people so it wouldn't stay in the house. When I moved out of the house, I felt free and had a free-for-all with sweets. Sweets…

How do you react when someone offers you food you want but "shouldn't" have?
Do you feel like they're sabotaging your diet? Do you say no and feel guilty? Do you say YES and feel guilty? For me, I would always give in and tell myself I'd just work it off later. I felt bad to let other people down. You?

Do you lie to your food diary?
I remember when I would binge on cookies, I would only "admit" to my food diary that I had 1. You know it's an issue when you lie to a notebook that no one but you will read! LOL But the main problem is that I thought I was doing everything right for weight loss but I would "forget" about all of those binge episodes and…

What does a "lifestyle change" mean to you?
Hi, All! Have you ever said "I don't wanna diet. I want a lifestyle change" ? What does that even mean, to you?

Tokyo gal looking to connect :)
Hi, All! My name is Katheryn - I used to be a chronic yoyo dieter but I lost 40 pounds and am now a health coach, specifically for women who feel like they've tried everything and are frustrated. Back when I was overweight, I took a trip to Tokyo and expressed my concerns (complained*) to my roommate about how Japanese…
