4/3 cycle - how to control on weekends
I’ve restarted MFP 3 weeks ago and I haven’t lost nor gained anything. I’ve been the same weight for over a year which mean I’m maintaining. I may lose a 1-2lbs bit gain it back the next week. I eat really good and track Monday - Thursday and go for walks. Then Friday - Sunday I lose motivation and don’t track and tend to…

Cardio/Lifting Weights - where to start
For someone who hasn’t worked out in months and just getting back into it what would you recommend? Every time I start doing weights I’m so sore I stop.

Weekly Goal
If you have 75 lbs to lose where do you start? I don’t want to be starving.

Peloton App
I don’t have a Pelaton bike but I have a spin bike and I saw the app on a commercial. Anyone use the app? Pros? Cons? For $12.95 save me time and money at the gym.

Fitbit Calories
So I track my food using MFP. I eat my given calories and what I burned. I never eat back what my Fitbit says I burned just with steps as it’s always so much just what I burned during exercise. Well I decided to experiment and eat some back and I gained a pound this week when I’ve been losing, slowly but losing. How are…

Anyone else doing the FODMAP diet?
I have IBS and GERD and it’s to the point it’s taken over my life. I’m in constant pain and So my Dr put me on the FODMAP diet. I’m doing as much research as I can this weekend and some shopping and plan to start on Monday. Anybody else doing the FODMAP diet? Would love to add friends who have open diaries. Any advice?

Too many exercise calories?
I got my Fitbit two days ago. Yesterday I reached a little over 10,000 steps. I moved so I’m running up/down 3 floors putting stuff away for hours. My exercise states 939 Fitbit calories. That seems way too high. I read the beginner post and it’s a lot to take in so hopefully I’m doing this right. Any insight?

Fitbit or HRM
I have a heart rate monitor with a strap and it tells me how many calories I burn and my heart rate. I’ve been reading a lot about fitbits but don’t like the idea of wearing a Fitbit all day everyday as I love to wear my watches and bracelets. I just wanted to know the difference and what most recommends and why? Thanks:)

Weekly goal not updating
I was at 2 lbs per week and wanted to change it to 1.5 lbs per week. It updated for today but tomorrow and the rest of the days are still showing the old calories. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and it didn’t chafe. Any idea how to get the app to update to the new calories?

Weekly Goal
I have 55-60 pounds to lose. What should I set my weekly goal as? I read if you have a lot to lose 2 lbs a week? I’m very active so It’s my eating. I need to start writing everything down. I work out 6x a week so It’s crazy to me to keep working out so much but eating whatever so I need to get serious and lose the weight.

Not using a scale
So I'm tracking my calories and I exercise 5-6x a week (Zumba, spin and walking plus afternoon walks with the family). The scale stresses me out so I got rid of it and want to focus on eating healthier and exercising in hopes the weight will come off. How many other people don't use a scale and is a scale vital to me…

HRM-Eating back those calories
So I'm at 1200 calories a day but I eat around 1500-1700 calories a day because I eat back my exercise calories. I see where people eat back half of their exercise calories. I know this is because MFP over estimates. But what if you have a heart rate monitor? For example for 45 Minutes of UJAM (like Zumba but more hip hop)…

Cals burned during strength training
Ok so I do a 45 minute Total body dumbbell strength training Mon-Wed-Fri. I rest 1 minute in between exercises and 30 seconds in between reps. Is this good? My HRM says I burn about 250 cals. Is this to be trusted?

Advice on workout schedule
I used to be a runner then I damaged my back training for a half marathon. I haven't ran in 2 years and miss it a lot. I've been exercising with no pain so want to start running again. I plan to start with the C25K. My current workout schedule is: Sunday: off Monday 60 min total body dumbbell workout and abs Tuesday: 60…

TDEE
I know this has been asked before and I did research but am confused when it comes to strength training. I currently need to lose 55lbs and have lost about 9 since Oct so about 46lbs to go. I follow 1200 cals and eat back majority of my exercise calories so I usually eat about 1500-1700 cals a day. I wear a HRM to get my…

Exercise Calories
I've never had trouble in the past losing weight but then again I was on Weight Watchers and I'm 33 now. I seem to be struggling to lose this time around. I've been losing/gaining the same 3lbs. I'll go down to 206 then back up to 209 and this has been for about 2 months. So It has to be my eating so I looked over my diary…
