Eat fewer calories than you expend. Who would've thunk!? Jesting aside, this app has made keeping track of my calories so easy. If only more people knew losing weight wasn't that complicated of a process. After I shed a few more lbs of fat, I may try to bulk up a little bit.
http://imgur.com/jKvimGe I ate at a consistent calorie deficit every day, but as you can see, the scale varied by up to two pounds in just 24 hours (due to water weight, etc). My point is not to get discouraged if you're taking just two relatively recent data points. As it may not accurately reflect your true fat loss.
I've read multiple times from community members that one should only try to lose 0.5 - 1 lbs per week as he gets closer to his weight goal. Why is this?
Please correct me if I'm spouting falsehoods anywhere in this post. People always quote that a deficit of 3500 calories will lose you one pound. BUT, this is assuming all that weight loss is fat. If 3500 calories is equivalent to one pound of fat, then one pound of muscle has to be significantly less than that, right?…
