Why did you choose to be vegan over being a vegetarian? Was it a gradual shift?

Keto Diet and Autoimmune Diseases?
A few people I know who suffer from autoimmune diseases have told me their symptoms improved greatly once they started doing keto. I can't seem to find much research on this topic so I wanted to see if any MFP users with autoimmune disorders are doing keto for this reason?

If you started your journey January 2019, how is it going?
It's almost July! Just wanted to check in with fellow January 2019 starters to see how everyone's doing. Did you hit any roadblocks along the way? What are some things you've learned about yourself and weight loss these past 6 months? How close are you to reaching your goal?

Ladies who were busty before the weight gain
Did your back pain come back as you have lost weight? I used to have back pain from my large bust but once I became overweight, my back pain kind of went away. Another positive side effect of getting fat was that they looked more proportionate to the rest of my body. Now that I've lost weight, my back pain has come back.…

Those who maintain without exercising...
I'm looking ahead to when I reach my goal weight and estimating that my maintenance caloric goal will be around 1,870. I wonder if I can feasibly eat at this level for the rest of eternity. Before starting my weight loss journey, I was eating around 2,200 calories a day. My plan is to add daily cardio exercise to burn off…

Social Eating and Going Over on the Weekends
I always seem to go over my daily goal on the weekends. Eating is such a social activity for me and many restaurants don't have low calorie options (sometimes the salads are worse than a regular entree). I definitely did better this weekend, going over by less than 200 calories Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For those who go…

How/when does MFP revise your daily calorie goals?
From my understanding, MFP reduces the number of calories you should consume daily as you lose weight. Does anyone know how often or at what intervals of weight loss this occurs?

Do you up your caloric intake when working out?
MFP has set my daily calorie goal to 1,550 to lose 1 pound a week. Starting today, I will be working out 3 days a week and wanted to know if I should continue to eat 1,550 calories on those days. I will be doing cardio with a bit of strength training.

For those who drink liquor...
MFP's database for 1 oz of rum is 64 calories and a shot is usually 1.5 fluid ounces. For those who drink on the weekends, do you reduce the amount of calories you eat in preparation for the 3-5 shots of alcohol you will have plus the chaser? Or do you create a deficit by upping your exercise levels for the day?

Daily Sugar Goal Set by MFP
My daily intake goal for sugar set by MFP is 59 grams. I do consume about 1 tablespoon of table sugar with my morning coffee (>0.5 tbsp per 1.5 cup of coffee). But even controlling for this I find that I easily go over my daily goal by eating more than a couple servings of fruits per day. How critical is it to stay under…

Thoughts on Group Fitness Classes at the Gym?
Is it possible to lose weight by engaging in group fitness classes offered at the gym? Also, any suggestions on things I could do on my own inside/outside of the gym? I cannot do anything too high impact as I have an old knee injury which I would like to avoid aggravating. My goal is to lose 50 pounds by June 2019. Thanks!

Headaches and Dieting
I recently started on a nutrition plan my cousin sent me to try to lose weight. Her husband has been able to lose 86 pounds while on this diet. You pretty much eat small meals 5 times a day, with the last meal being at 19h. I am on day 2 and I woke up with the worse headache ever (which is still throbbing). I am trying to…
