Lesson learned...I am finally losing weight again!
I have been religiously tracking every bite of food I eat for several years and going to the gym the last 9 months for 3 days a week and physical therapy 2 days a week. Oddly enough my weight loss COMPLETELY stalled! I had horrible pains recently in my back (unrelated, it's arthritis) and my doc forbade me from working out…

I am officially NO LONGER OBESE!!!!!!!!!
I started out at 263 pounds, I am now 173! All done with CICO, though I did add in a gym membership 3 months ago. Thanks for all the support these last few years. I still have 40 pounds to go, but I'll take it slow and steady...eventually I'll get there

90 pounds!
I hit 90 pounds lost today (well, 90.6) and I am THRILLED! It's taken 3.5 years, but the time would've passed anyway, why not use it to give myself a better life?

It feels like the first day at school
I start at the gym tomorrow! I signed up for a gym membership, and I'm a little intimidated by the whole concept. First is getting used to the new equipment, but mainly my fear is judgement of others. In some respects I am of the belief "Or screw it, who cares what anyone thinks", but at the same time as a disabled person…

A sign of the apocalypse: I joined a gym!
If someone had told me say 4 years ago that I'd one day join a gym VOLUNTARILY I would've bet everything I had against that idea. However, today I joined a gym! It was only marginally crowded at it's busiest time, and oddly enough I didn't feel completely strange being there. Well, a little strange, I was the only one with…

I need help buying a new scale
I might just end up scheduling a doctors appointment and buying the same scale they use so I can get similar results. Here's why I want a new scale; I cannot stand still, seriously. I have Cerebral Palsy so I always shake even just a tiny amount. I used to have a regular floor scale with the needle that turns to show what…

NSV, all my big clothes are GONE!
I started out at a size 3x (24/26 in store plus sizes). As I've lost weight I keep dropping off bags of clothes at our local charity...some still new with tags so I'm sure someone can use them. I've since had to slowly replace everything. Tonight I bought a new pair of jeans...in a SIZE 16!!!!!!!!!!!! I still have a ways…

Question on long term calorie consumption
I am sedentary ( you would be too if you used a wheelchair!) but I do some weightlifting and track every calorie I eat. So far I've lost 72 lbs and have about 40 left to lose. I was reading up on medical studies on weight loss, and as has been said here before people lose a lot of weight at first and then it slows down to…

I finally stepped into Onederland too!
I'm finally here! I started at 263, so I still have a ways to go...but I hit my first major milestone! I am disabled with Cerebral Palsy, it's a somewhat mild case, but that added a bit to the challenge of losing. It was as simple (and as awkward and unsettling) as just CICO and portion control. I added in hand weights 2…

This may take a minute to type...lol..hi all!
Hi there! Like most of you here I am working to lose weight and get healthier, but I came to that decision in a round about way. (sorry if this is long) A few years ago I got a stomach virus unbeknownst to me , I just felt horrible and had a nagging cough. Months went on, then a year and the cough was AWFUL, I'd stop…
