About small deficits, plateaus, weight trends and consistency (and looking for maintenance)
This isn't really a question, but a post that will hopefully help others (although I'm not sure how many people still read these boards and are patient enough to read long posts 😄). I started my weight loss journey in 2019, losing 70+ lbs over the following years, reaching my goal weight in the summer of 2022. Well, sort…

How motivation works
This popped up on my newsfeed on another platform, and I found it simply too true to not share. Motivation gives a spark, but the true fuel/fire of weight-loss and better health is discipline and consistency. (As well as flexibility in adjusting your strategy depending on your needs, circumstances...)

Spa day: yay or nay?
In another thread, people were mentioning a spa day (massage, facial, mani, pedi...) as a potential reward to oneself for reaching a certain weight loss goal. I just thought that sounded like torture, not a reward 😄 Curious to see what the general MFP population thinks!

Full english breakfast: calories?
Does anyone have experience logging a classic British fried breakfast? Currently traveling in the UK and I'm clueless 😀 Estimates for the components and/or totality are welcome, if anyone can help 🙂

Avoiding non technical questions in "MyFitnessPal Tech Support Questions"
I've noticed that people regularly post non technical questions in the MyFitnessPal Tech Support Questions part of the boards. I think part of the problem is that the New Post button suggests "Ask a question": But when you choose that option, the system only lets you post to the Tech Support subforum: So I'd suggest adding…

Recent Discussions: don't include old announcements
I'm a regular user of https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussions as a way to see what's new without having to browse each individual subforum. As it stands, using this link (and based on the subforums I've chosen to see), I first get half a page of announcements, many of which don't have recent posts. So I would…

Fueling long run
I've been running for a while now, but my runs are getting longer and I think I'm not fueling adequately. I didn't usually fuel at all for my runs because most of them aren't that long. But I first had an issue after a 17km run (anything up to 12km was fine) where I felt fine during, but nauseous and weak starting a few…

Anxiety - self help resources?
You'd never tell by his demeanor, but my BF has always had some anxiety issues, but mostly under control. But last night he woke me up in the middle of the night, asking me to hug him because he was freaking out and also terribly cold. He's changing jobs soon (prestigious international organisation) and very afraid of…

VO2max / aerobic fitness and seasonal allergies
So this is a stab in the dark, but perhaps someone here has a relevant experience. The long story: Based simply on the number of hours of exercise I do, I think I can call myself a runner  I've been running since November 2019. Very, very slowly at first (at the start of my weight loss). For a long time I kept…

Make adding friends less complicated
Currently, it is a very convoluted process to add friends when you see someone in the forums you'd like to add. You need to either go to their forum profile by tapping/clicking on their user name and then delete 'community.' from the web address to get to their actual profile, either use the 'find members' function to get…

Oligofructose, yay or nay?
So I've been traveling abroad these past weeks and not eating my usual foods. I've been having crunchy muesli for breakfast and I noticed the fibre count was ridiculously high, more than 20gr/100gr. Looking at the ingredients, I noticed the fibre was from oligofructose. Some quick googling gave me very different info, from…
