Gluten free on the cheap?
My husband and I recently went gluten free in an attempt to solve his years of digestive pain. His pain went away almost overnight once we made the change, but my grocery trips have gotten significantly more expensive. I'd love to see your favorite recipes and ideas for making gluten free feel more normal without the…

Tuna salad tips
Tuna is easy, delicious, high in protein, and a great way to get Omega 3 for those who don't enjoy the 'fishier' fishes. But to get that classic creamy tuna salad it takes a LOT of mayo. What are your favorite tricks for making a lighter (or not so light but delicious) tuna? I've found balsamic vinegar or hot sauce mixed…

Tabata aerobic dance
Since tabata gives breaks for breathing and water, should I subtract that from my aerobic dance time logged? I did 30 minutes (including warm up/cool down with no intervals) but about 8 minutes of that time was resting in 10 or 30 second intervals.

Yoga and lumbar lordosis
Any fitness, yoga, or physical therapy experts here? I have lumbar lordosis, aka an overarched spine and weak lower back and core muscles, which is actually a pretty common side effect of obesity (though it can have other causes). I have recently restarted doing yoga but can't afford a class. I've had no back pain during…

Ankle pain with yoga
I've started doing yoga recently and noticed while doing warrior 2 pose and any other high lunge, the muscle right above the outer ankle bone on my back leg starts burning. I'm about 270 pounds and not terribly flexible which leads me to ask, is this a strength or a flexibility issue? Should I push through or how do I…

275 pounds
Yikes! I had started losing the first few pounds at the beginning of 2019 but quickly got off track and my weight crept back up again until I hit a dreaded 275 pounds! As a woman at 5'6", even my 'big bones' (yes those are a thing) don't excuse the extra 115-125 pounds. It's like carrying a while person around as a…

Plasma donations
Anyone else here donate plasma? Do you adjust your calories for the day when you do? Enter it as exercise because of the extra calories burned while your body restores your plasma levels? Make no changes? I'd really like to know how different people address this.
