  • Mix 2 diced avocados, 1 diced mango, juice from 1 lime, diced cilantro, a little chili powder, garlic powder, and salt. Serve over fish or chicken. Makes an excellent fish taco! Also just salt and pepper or lemon juice on an avocado and eat with a spoon.
  • If you freeze cottage cheese, it thaws with a consistency a little closer to ricotta. Mix with egg, salt, and pepper as the cheese layers of a lasagna (whether a pasta lasagna or a zucchini lasagna). I also love doing cottage cheese with AA little of the syrup from a jar of cherries as a special treat.
  • Full fat dairy, legumes, olives, avocados, nuts/nut butters, healthy oils (olive, avocado, coconut). Some vegetarians eat eggs, which could definitely help, plus give you an awesome nutritional boost.
  • Are you on the website or the app?
  • Throw it in the blender and use it as a creamy dip for apples and strawberries!
  • @just_Tomek thanks so much! I tried the egg alone today and didn't work well at all. I am definitely trying it with the cottage cheese! @MaltedTea that sounds delicious! I love avocado! @midlomel1971 sometimes you just can't replace mayo! It makes everything so delicious! Thank you everyone for the ideas! I'll share…
  • My biggest frustration is headaches. They can be caused by weather, PMS, or exercise and often last for days! It's so frustrating to let my fitness level be dictated by whether my head is pounding or only hurting a little.
  • I got rid of my microwave about 3 years ago and I never miss it at home. Food tastes so much better reheated on the stove. But I find myself using the one at work occasionally. Guess convenience is more important in some situations than in others.
  • I haven't tried any pilates on YouTube but I use it for yoga and other exercises. I'd recommend just searching for a pilates workout by the class time you want, eg. "30 minute beginners pilates" or "60 minute intermediate pilates"
  • It doesn't help with calorie burn but does help build all the tiny muscle areas that help with balance and core support. I used one in my physical therapists office when my lumbar lordosis got bad enough to cause severe pain. It will do nothing on its own but if you are already working on balancing exercises it adds…
  • Are you working your hamstrings to balance out everything you're putting into your quads?
  • Treadmill calorie estimates are usually pretty inaccurate. I would go by your watch
  • You're awesome!
  • Thank you all so much! I'm so excited about starting fresh this morning!
  • Thank you both so much! I'm so grateful for the community here ❤️
  • Tuna is an inexpensive, protein packed meal and like the least fish tasting fish there is. You can get the pre-flavored packets or mix a can with a little hot sauce or balsamic vinegar and mix with some lettuce, bell peppers, tomatoes, or any mix of your favorite veggies! Also what percent did you see your protein at?…
  • RelCanonical I'm so proud of you! Keep working toward your goals!
  • I really don't pay attention to the "sugar goal" or even the macros very much. I had a can of soda with breakfast but if it's in my calories it's still okay. I've been trying to add healthier stuff into my diet because it's more nutritionally compete and better for you, but if you hit your calorie goal, you'll lose weight.
  • My dad has pretty bad acid reflux. He refused to change his diet because his favorite food is green chile. After years of sleeping poorly, trying extra pillows, tipping the bed up, anything he could think of, he discovered that eating a small apple before bed works wonders to calm it down enough for sleep. He's been doing…
  • Taking classes and having an instructor would be wonderful but I can't afford that right now. I'll try to modify to a milder angle and see if that helps
  • I have a goal weight but once I eventually get close I think it will be important to listen to my body and make adjustments to figure out what's actually a healthy size for me
  • Autumnblade thank you so much for the advice! I think the plasma amount taken is the same for anyone above 175 pounds, although below that is smaller increments. Maybe that's where they got the average of 450 from 🤷
  • I donate plasma twice weekly. While plasma is restored quickly, it takes 450 calories over a few days to replenish from each donation. I appreciate the responses but none of them really address my question at all. If you are someone who donates plasma twice a week, how have you adjusted your logging or calorie goals to…
  • I'm 5'6" f at 271 pounds. I'm just under 2000 calories a day and so far I've had great success! I think raising your calories is a great plan if it will help you stay on track for the long haul!
  • I've tried twice to reply to your comment but it keeps resetting me back on the front page. Third time's the charm hopefully! Right now I'm focusing on building the habit of logging all my food and staying within my calorie budget. Also trying to get some sort of movement daily, whether yoga, going for a walk, or even just…
  • My first goal is about 25 pounds and I would love new friends along the way!
  • Why wait for the 1st?
  • It sounds like your actual height to weight ratio is great! You might try bulking up, add some extra protein and start lifting. You can stay the same weight but be slimmer and stronger, more muscle and less body fat
  • I have about 125 to go to my healthy weight. I've yo-yo dieted for years so I'm working to learn my triggers for relapse and binge eating so I can successfully improve my health
