Favorite "Motivational" song(s)?
What is your favorite "Motivational" song(s) that gets you pumped while exercising? For me it's just about anything by Godsmack (the guitar and bass are just pure andrenaline) or the pace of "Everlong" by the Foo Fighters gets me going. Remember music is the food for the ears and everyone has different tastes (some like…

"Smoke Breaks" Can Be Good For You
Now that I have your attention, yes "smoke breaks" can really be good for you. It's just a matter of what you use the break for. A lot of jobs I know allow two 15 min. "smoke breaks" during an eight hour work day. How 'bout using them to go for brisk walks. I've been doing this (when I'm not too busy) for the last couple…

What is your favorite "Motivational" movie?
For me it goes back to high school wrestling and the movie "Vision Quest". Plus it had a great sound track. I spent many hours running to it to make weight. Some slow songs but fast forwarded past them on my "Walkman". "Walkman" was the ipod of the '80s for those of you chronoloically insufficient.

I Got Teased About Weight Today (Positive)
My co-workers have been very encouraging with my weight loss. No one has been trying to sabotage it and I think that has been major help in my weight loss. Today during a meeting they were even teasing me about my clothes being baggy. I'm trying to hold off another month before I buy any new clothes so I can space out…

Words of encourgement?
I've noticed several of my MFP friends have not logged on in awhile. I would like to encourage them to get back on site but since I don't really know these people outside of MFP I don't want to be seen as an aggressor. Has anyone had any luck trying to motivate a non-active MFP friend? If so what did you say to them?

What is your favorite "Diet" food/treat discovered?
Since dieting I've found a new fondness of vegetables. Not that I didn't like them before but I like them a lot more now. What I have enjoyed the most of "diet" foods this time around had been Progresso Light soups. They might not look as good when you open the can as non-"diet" soups but I have found that they taste even…

Just how fast is a Marathon runner
They were discussing on the radio the other day about Robert Cheruiyot who won the 2010 Boston Marathon and they put it in good perspective on just how fast he was going. The adv. treadmill's fastest speed goes about 12 mph. You would have to make the treadmill go one mph. faster and then run at that speed for 2:05 to do…
