I have to admit…
My lazy attitude towards cooking is really the biggest problem. I've been either eating out…eating frozen prepared meals.. or just piece meal eating out to the fridge for years now. I took the time last night to make a delicious meal..that just happened to be super low in calories but high on satisfaction. Really it took…

peanut butter powder people!
yes! If you have not discovered peanut butter powder you must try. you just add water and two tablespoons is only 45 calories. It has 85 percent of the fat taken out. I spread it on my 100 calorie bagel and it was wonderful. I purchased mine at Target and I think Trader Joe's has it as well.

I ditched diet coke and then ….
I quit drinking diet coke recently just because I wanted to cut down on caffeine. The offshoot has been I don't get as hungry nor do I think about food constantly like I used to. It is like a miracle. It is much easier to eat below my calories. I guess all that hype about how artificial sweeteners trick the brain into…

Take the Pictures
If you want motivation …grab your phone, face a mirror and take full length front and side views of your body I did this last October. The other day I wondered if I was smaller…so I put on the same clothes and did it again. I was expecting a "wow" moment. First, pictures don't lie. It is a reality check.. Big time. And a…

Deviled Egg Share
I love deviled eggs..thought i'd share how I've been making mine lower calorie. I often make a single hard boiled egg and eat them as a snack. I use Helman's Dijonnaise in place of mayo to mix my hard boiled egg yolks. I will also add a touch a greek yogurt as well..with chopped pickle or celery. The swap of the…

i lke this better than the success thread
because i see you folks who have done it and what you're doing to keep it off. I have always wondered if any of you were out there. Is there life after the diet? Does it work for anyone? Question... do you find exercise if more important in keeping the weight off? Or was it more important in taking it off. Thanks.

scale & tape measure users..question
I am not weighing myself..just because i don't need the drama. But I am measuring my waist. From what i've learned -- for good health one's waist should be at least half their height. I've lost two inches off my waist..and to be int he healthy range I have three more to go. I figure I'll weight myself at that point and see…

your diet wisdom.. let's share
Along the way I've made my own realizations about losing weight. Here are mine.. I wonder what yours are. Maybe we can learn from each others insights. 1. How I lose the weight is how I will have to maintain my weight. 2. I live like I'm already on maintenance…because after doing the math…this is about how much i'll need…

dumb hubby remark brought out my prejudice
Last night I found myself, out of anger, being a diet snob. My husband who does Atkins so he can eat as much as he wants and still drink made an offensive comment to me as i was watching the newest show The Biggest Loser. When a 300 pound woman was weighed…he said.."She is like you, most likely doesn't weigh herself and…

okay..i m to that point in my journey where I am learning about and wanting to get the most out of my workouts. I am reading on pre work out meals and post meals…recovery all of that. I read in one article that to prevent losing muscle ..one should eat one gram of protien for every pound they weigh. That was one of several…

now i get the exercise calories…
After being on here for a while I've read so much debate over the exercise calories on mfp. How they are estimated too high..only eat half..don't eat them at all… eat them all back. I just read about "after burn" yesterday for the first time. I didn't realize that when you do cardio for at least 30 minutes…and even one…

Vegetti
i purchased the "As seen on T.V." Vegetti..that you twist a zucchini into and it turns it into strands of pasta like vegetables. I bought mine at Walgreens..kept the receipt in case it was junk. I just used it..and it worked like a charm. So easy to use..small too easy to store. Now I can have very low calorie tasting…

is this true? please advise
Do any of you find truth that working out first thing in the morning before you eat actually burns your fat stores better than if you worked out later in the day? I heard something about how any food you eat is stored in the liver and those calories burned first before the fat stores on the body.

latte makeover almond milk
I have struggled with my morning ritual of two lattes and trying to get in shape. I love my passion for coffee. I roast my own beans and have an espresso machine and giving it up isn't an option. However... I felt that the cup of 2% or skim milk everyday was just to much sugar to start my day. So, I made the switch to…

do you notice losing more eating breakfast?
I've heard all the studies and advice about eating breakfast. But, when I eat breakfast..I'm actually more hungry all day. I'm looking for people who know for sure from the scale..not studies and advice they've read... that they lose more one way or the other. I've been eating breakfast to see if it makes me lose faster;…

talk me down/scale mind game
When i started hitting this hard a month ago, I have purposely not weighed myself so I don't get down over the number on the scale. So, today I weighed myself to keep myself in check, and I've lost four pounds. Why do i feel down? I want to slap myself.. I should be thrilled that i'm losing nice a slow while at the same…

where?are you invisible too?
Having been a woman who has been thin..i notice what I call "becoming invisible." When ever I gain weight, I notice that I fall off the radar of my fellow man. This is a funny example... but, .when I gained the 20 or so pounds I am losing .. I noticed that when I walked into Sephora cosmetics store, i no longer was…

for those who've ever regained..?
ok..so 80% of people who lose weight gain it back within two years. I guess that is the horrible truth. I know I fall into that category. here's my question: Have any of you regained the weight you lost while weighing yourself everyday during the regain? I ask..because my thought is that I regained because i stopped…

do any of you do this?
Do any of you have a hard time staying on track when you get around other people? I realize that when i go about my day by myself.. i can easily eat right and exercise. It is when I go out with my husband, family - and friends that I eat off my diet and fall off plan and forfeit exercise. It is not their fault. I just do…

I have to say i love my lean cuisines and smart ones..just because the food tastes so good and is portioned out to 300 calories. However chemicals and food additives..and the sodium content bother me. Today, I saw another girl on the site using these low glycemic meals called fit food that include whole grains..no…

Tuning out have you done this?
I hit the wall yesterday..i normally enjoy learning about other diets..just to grab a tip or two. I don't know if any of you can help. But, I'm struggling to stay on course. I do well for stretch..and then fall off the wagon. It scares me because I've never been like this.
