How gross… TGIF is offering all you appetizers for $10. Another "stuff your face America" let's get fatter move.
I'm only supporting restaurants taking the healthful high road.

Awesome!
More for me. :drinker:0 -
They offer a product - that's it. They aren't shoveling food down anyone's throat. The onus of "taking the healthful high road" is on individuals, not companies.0

I'm pretty sure their motive is more butts in seats and not necessarily making America fatter. These sit-down chains are getting their balance sheets handed to them by fast casual restaurants who make the same, if not better, quality food without surly waitstaff and coked-up line cooks.
I'm pretty sure they don't have a place for you to hitch your high horse anyway.0 -
Well, now I know where I'm going if I'm ever without cooking facilities and down to my last ten bucks.
I wonder how many hours you can sit there and stuff your face before the manager throws you out?0 -
I love TGIF and don't see anything gross about the special promotion. The idea of blaming external factors and other people because I elected to stuff my face and became overweight has never crossed my mind. As soon as I fit those appetizer calories into my deficiency, I will fit those calories into my mouth.0

Probably as long as a Buffet?
Does it matter if you're not interested?0 -
Meh if it bothers you, don't go. I always have a salad in place of apps because most of them turn into mindless eating while talking.
Food is everywhere and you have to learn self control. You could always save some calories up and splurge a little.0 -
I saw this. I love those appetizers, so I won't be getting any. They're all so high in calories!
I wish they would offer some healthier appetizers for this deal though, such as baked asparagus or black bean roll-ups (baked, like the ones at Max & Ermas). I suppose that wouldn't sell well though.0 -

Why do you care if you aren't going to eat there any way. And Fridays isn't forcing people into their restaurants and force feeding them appetizers. People need to wake up and stop blaming the food for obesity and start blaming the hands that are shoveling it in.

True, a buffet is about the same deal. Since losing weight I've pretty much wiped the concept of those from my memory.0 -

Meh, I love my 3 trips a year to the awesome casino buffets and the OCB for breakfast after our hockey trip.0 -

If it's anything like Red Lobster, they'll bring you 1/4 of the normal serving, and only one at a time. I got pretty tired of waiting for each tiny plate of shrimp, and the server wasn't around enough to keep the plates coming at a pace I was comfortable with so I eventually gave up. If you're patient enough, it could work. But let's face it, this is just reheated food that you can get the same quantity of in the grocery store.
Red Robin does bottomless fries, and my experience there was great. The server brought me four servings of sweet potato fries in a row, and gave me one to go as well.0 -

^^^^^^^This. I fully agree. I am getting so sick of people blaming their issues on someone else. I seen someone going off on McDonald's again yesterday. These people think McDonalds, and other food corporations have a responsibility to serve only healthy "clean" items. To heck with what the consumer is willing to pay for. They act like it is the corporations making people come buy the food. These people do not grasp the idea that consumers go where the food is at that they want to eat.0 -
I'll take one of everything, thx0

And the nutrition info is readily available on their site. Granted, 9 out of 10 dishes are >1000 calories, but still, it's there lol0 -
Unless these are included, no dice.
