RunKeeper Pro?
Hi Everyone- For those of you who use Runkeeper Pro, have you found it to be "more insightful" than the free version? If so, try and sell me on it. I've been using RunKeeper for a while now, and thought about the upgrade. Just want to make sure it's worth it. Thanks!!

Dr. Hyman, MD--Thoughts?
Hi Everyone! A friend suggested recently that I research and look into Dr. Hyman's book "The 10 Day Detox". I am not a big believer in the fad diets, but thought I'd get everyone's thoughts..... http://drhyman.com/#close https://www.facebook.com/drmarkhyman/info

In need of new diet regiment
Hi Everyone! I've been eating like crap, and I don't know how to change it. I want to eat healthier, but I don't know where to start. I know what I need to do (buy healthy food--veggies, lean protein, etc), but it's difficult for me to stick to it. I'm not looking for a diet--paleo, whole 30, etc. I want a lifestyle…

Pre-blended Protein Shakes?
My husband and I need more protein and we thought about protein shakes. Not only will this help with hitting our protein for the day, but it will help with I strength train. I don't like the idea of using a blender every morning, because 1) it's loud 2) it's an extra step to my already busy morning and 3) I don't want to…

Tips before a 10K run
HI Everyone! I have my first 10K run next Saturday, and I need some pointers. Because the run is at 8am, what should I eat/how much water should I drink before hand? I know to drink water, but don't know how much water to drink prior to. Also, would a piece of toast be enough beforehand? What should my running schedule…

10K training
I recently completed the C25K program and I want to get ready to run a 10k next. The 10k is June 8th. The organizers of the 10K (the Bellin run) have a training schedule, but the plan doesn't have you run 6 miles even once. I would think that it would have you run more then the scheduled run. Am I wrong? My question is…

Raw spreadable honey

BMR help!
I know there are alot of BMR discussion threads, but I have a question about my situation in particular. I understand to calculate my BMR and then subract 15 or 20% if I want to lose weight. I subtract both 15 and 20% but it comes up under or just a tad over 1200 calories. What am I doing wrong? TDEE: 2010 Current BMR:…

Coffee Drinkers--favorite coffee/creamer?
I recently started drinking coffee (Thanks to my dad for the Keurig gift!) and was wondering what everyone drinks and what (if any) creamer you use. Go!

Sugars
MFP set my sugar limit to 27grams/day. The problem that I have is that I 5/7 days I always go over! I eat alot of fruit, but I also drink juice, etc. I've been paying more attention to how many grams are in the food that I eat, but it's hard to not go over. I heard not to count sugar in fruit, as that is unprocessed or…

Zumba Calories Website
Hi Everyone! I forgot my HRM last week when I went to Zumba, and so I did a quick internet search for some help. I found this website, which helps define what low, mid, and high intensity Zumba is, in addition to calculating calories burned. I'm going to Zumba tonight with my HRM, so we'll see how accurate this website is.…

New to C25 K :)
Hi everyone! I printed off the treadmill version of C25K, and tried it twice (only made it to day 2 week 1). I'm determined to start tomorrow (4/16/12) and complete it! One of the reasons I didn't complete it, is because my calves hurt after. It's only 30 minutes, so they shouldn't hurt so bad! I bought new shoes, hoping…

Calf Pain?
I've been working out the past few months, and have recently felt pain in my calf on my left leg. It hurt so bad in the beginning that I wanted to limp. It doesn't hurt to touch my calf; the ache is deeper than that. My left leg is slighly shorter than my right (maybe a half inch to an inch), so maybe that's the issue? It…

What do I set my 'normal daily activity' to for the goals?
I' ve been a member of MFP since December, and thought that 'sedentary' was the most accurate to my lifestyle. I work a desk job (sitting for 8-9 hrs a day). When I first started MFP, I was exercising 1 or 2 times a week. For the past 2 months, I've been exercising 3-4 days a week (burning 500-800 calories each time). I…

30 DS AND Ripped in 30
Has anyone tried both the 30 DS and Ripped in 30? I have 30DS, and just bought Ripped in 30 this past weekend. How would you compare the two? Which one do you like better and why? I read that they both have the 3-2-1 system, and there are a few new moves in Ripped in 30. What are your rants/raves about either of them?…

Below 1200 calories when exercising
I set my goals up so that I can lose approximately 1 lb per week. Given my height, weight, normal daily routine (sedentary), MFP suggests that I eat 1, 220 calories. Here's where the issue is: On days that I exercise and don't eat back my calories, I am below 1200. I know that 1200 is the absolute minimum, so is it okay if…

Recording "Bootcamp" classes?
I recently started taking a bootcamp class and I'm not sure how to track it on MFP. I've been recording it as "circuit training, general", but not sure that's correct. We use medicine balls, kettle bells, weighted rope (like on Biggest Loser), planks (various), table top exercises, and jumping jacks. I've only gone to one…

Post Workout Drink
Besides water, what is a good post workout drink? I've heard that you should drink Gatorade or Powerade to boost electrolytes (something that water can't give you), but I don't want all the sugar that's in those drinks. I can't imagine that much sugar after a workout is good for you? Thanks much!
