Advice on setting workout schedule for next week!
Hey all, as one who typically runs interval/incline programs and sometimes mixes in a workout DVD, I took a completely different approach this week and completed T25 Alpha Week 1. While I've done all of the videos before, I had not done them in order according to the calendar without inserting other workouts or rest days…

Maintenace mode proactively lose pre-holiday?
Anyone else in maintenance considering proactively losing a few pounds before the holidays to prevent needing to lose a few afterward? Last year during the holidays, I was still trying to get into my maintenance groove and was actually 3-4 pounds below my target weight, so I actually needed to gain a few pounds. It was a…

Fitness NSV - Share your next fitness goal
Throught my weightloss and maintenance journey, I've become more fit. What started as a way to burn more in order to eat more evolved into new fitness goals. The other day, my husband was talking about Army PT tests as a fitness challenge, so I looked up the standards and thought working toward them would be a motivator.…

Exercise NSV!
I completed 5k run on treadmill this morning < 30 min. My best time before today was 33:30! Decided to cut out the incline intervals of my regular program, set incline on 2, speed @ 6mph, w/ a few 7mph sprints, and there I was @ 3.1 miles in 30 minutes!

Help...stuck in a Running Rut!
Help! I'm stuck in a workout rut. I know I need to mix up my workouts to meet my fitness goals of lifting my butt, flattening my abs, building strength in my arms, etc., but I'm having a hard time "letting go" of what seems to be the best way to burn the most calories in the least amount of time. According to my treadmill…

Maintenance Success - Overcame my Fear
I've been at or below goal since mid-June and slowly eased into maintenance by first setting a 100 calorie per day deficit. I kept losing at that rate, so I was brave enough to move to true maintenance for a month or so, then I decided to stop logging for a month or so with the idea that if I had a gain of 2 lbs that stuck…

Exercise Motivation @ goal weight
Help Please! MFP has been a great motivator for tracking progress for monitoring weight loss, and I'm still using it to log food & exercise in order to maintain; however, I've noticed that I was more motivated to work out when my calorie budget was lower. I'd get up early and run 4 miles in order to go out for a nice lunch…

NSV
I was making the trek through the downtown tunnel between the two high-rises my company offices are in, and one of the shop owners (a total stranger who I've seen but not talked to before) stopped me and said that he'd noticed how I'd slimmed down quite a bit and asked me what I was doing! Made my day!!!

Fitness Program Infomercials -RIGHT one for me?
I may be addicted to the P90X and Insanity infomercials. I am amazed by the results, and now that I'm very close to my goal weight but seemingly far from my goal body, it's time to do something different. I've heard that P90X requires about 1.5 hours per day, and I know I can't commit to more than about 45 minutes or so…

NSV - Down almost 4 sizes in 4 months
I went to Ann Taylor Loft yesterday to try on clothes, and the 2's were too big. When I started with MFP in January, my Loft size 8's were a little snug, and now the 0 is a little snug, but it should be perfect when I get to my goal (4-5 more pounds). Amazing, 4 sizes in 4 months. I know sizes have changed over the years,…

So, now I wonder, where do the truly "skinny" people shop?
I bought pants last week in the smallest size one of the stores carries, and I'm not even to my goal. When I reach my goal then kick up the strength training, I expect to lose yet another size, since my frame is so small. So now I wonder, where do the truly "skinny" people shop? Even at my goal, I'll be 10 pounds above the…
