I'd like some information about zig zagging - I'm not sure if it's alternating workouts or calorie intake?

BL half marathon?
I just watched last week's show & here's my question... If they've been working out for hours every day, why did they think they couldn't do 13 miles? That should have seemed like a piece of cake to them?! They probably do that on the treadmill daily anyway.

What's the history of MFP? How long has it been around? Has anyone been with it since the beginning? Why was it started? I'm just curious. Why a fitness site? I totally appreciate it, whatever the reasons or impetus. Does anyone out there know????

do I need a HRM?
I work out at a gym with equipment that monitors my heart rate & tells me how many calories I burn, I use a recumbent bike that does the same. The only other workout I usually do is brisk walking or a workout video. Do I really need a HRM? Or would a pedometer that tells calories burned be just as good for someone like me?…

Does anyone know anything about Jillian Michaels' online "plan?" I went to her website out of curiosity & there is a free one month trial plan, but no mention of what the plan involves - whether it's exercise or eating plan or like MFP or what. Anybody know?

question about strength training
If I log in my walking or other cardio, mfp tells me how many calories I burned, but not when I log in crunches, push ups, weights, etc. Aren't I burning calories then?

These are so cute! At Trader Joe's they had these whole wheat little pitas - 30 calories, 6 carbs, 2 g fiber each. Perfect for little sandwiches. Or divided & toasted.
