Healthy and delicious Dinners that make great take-to-work leftover Lunches
Hey all! Trying to jazz up my workweek menu and stay motivated to lose some weight while still eating food that tastes delicious and that I get excited just thinking about in the middle of the day. I've found that doing this makes eating right so much more bearable - if if you like to cook, more fun! There's no reason to…

What is your weirdest healthy snack?
Mine has to be peperoncinis and a glass of milk (to put out the fire in my mouth). Most people think its gross, but I find this combo pretty delicious. Tough on sodium counts, but stops any other cravings in their tracks - and some liquid protein to boot!

Eat more to lose less? Really??
I started with MFP a little over a year ago and ate generally healthy foods at around 1200-1400 cal a day (very limited fast food, and drinking only on weekends) and began doing about 4-5 days a week of weight training (2-3 days) and cardio (running 3-4 days). I started at 204 lbs and over the course of 7 months I…

Using Couch to 5K to increase speed?
I did C25K in May 2011 and have been hooked on running ever since. I completed my first half marathon this past August! I am considering using this program again to gain speed - has anyone ever done that? What were your results? I can run a 10:10 min/mile 5K, I'd love to get sub 10 min/mile - I can almost taste the sub-30…

Fuel belt suggestions?
Hi All! I'm training for my first half marathon in August and have a 7 mile training run coming up on Sunday. It will be my longest run yet - and I get to say that every Sunday up until the HM! lol. That being said, I should probably look into fuel belts/hydration packs since I'll probably be taking about 1.5 hrs to do the…

25 pounds down - and small (BIG!) goals achieved!!
Back in December I joined MFP and weighed 204 lbs and wore a size 14/16 jeans. I set small goals for myself along the way, and HOLY MOLY I ACHIEVED THEM! I have hit many other non-weight goals, such as better running pace, fat loss, and inches lost, however I did set some achievable and rational weight goals in December: I…

Coming off a back strain
Hi all, Background: I strained my lower left back a few months ago. I couldn't even pinpoint doing what - running too fast on a treadmill? Doing a one-armed cable row? I have had it checked out and my instructions were "if it hurts don't do it, if it doesn't hurt, go ahead with it". Ugh, thanks. But clearly it isn't being…

Help! I'm in a mental rut
Hi All, I have been working very hard to watch my calories and exercise for the last 5 months. I have steadily been losing 5 lbs a month, and my eating has been very realistic and sustainable - but the more I realize how well I've done, the more I seem to ease up on my goals. I haven't been eating as well as I should or…

My only weakness is Weekends!
I have been finding that eating successfully throughout work week is relatively easy for me: I basically have the same thing for breakfast and my snacks every day, and usually a salad or sandwich for lunch. Then when I get home, based on how many calories I have left in the day, I will make myself a sensible dinner. But…
