The Rules to Being a Triathlete
http://badig.com/2012/03/the-rules-to-being-a-triathlete/ The Rules: #1. Not everyone thinks what you do is awesome. Most think you’re a bit nuts, and they’re right. Remember that at your next cocktail party. #2. No race jerseys of races you haven’t raced in, especially if the distance is longer than you’ve been. T-shirts…

So it seems that we have a bunch of new folks in the group. Welcome to the group and perhaps to the sport. My name is Scott. I am a moderator here and a USAT Level I Coach. Always feel free to ask questions. There is no stupid question as endurance sports and specifically multisport ventures are vastly different from…

IM Changing Swim Start
So rumor coming out of CdA community meetings is that IM branded events will be going from mass starts to a modified TT style start. Apparently groups of 100 or "flows" will be going off at the same time. The idea is that it's easier for lifeguards to spot distressed swimmers if in a smaller pack. Thoughts????

Obey the Rules (Triathlon Version) :P
Can't take credit for this. This was penned by an acquaintance who has qualified for Kona more than his fair share of times. The Rules: #1. Not everyone thinks what you do is awesome. Most think you’re a bit nuts, and they’re right. Remember that at your next cocktail party. #2. No race jerseys of races you haven’t raced…

Ironman Texas
Open damn you!!! Hey little town residents that don't want the bike course running through your town, get over it. All the triathletes in the city have found out about the nice roads and rollers in your towns and even if the course doesn't go through there it's still a perfect place for flatlanders to train for hills.…

Houston/SE Texas Folks
I went to Tad Hughes for the bike fit on my new rig. I highly recommend him. Went out on Sunday and killed 44 miles in a super agressive position and felt great coming off the bike. Can't wait to slap some race wheels on her and go race Kemah in 2 weeks. So I know that lots of folks waffle between Tad, Shama, and the Bike…

Trying to make racing weight
So my name is Scott. I compete in triathlons. Currently at the half ironman distance. My longterm goal is to qualify for The World Championships in Kona, but that is a ways down the road. I started tracking nutrition again after I put on 5 lbs over the holidays. Currently I sit at 164 and I'm looking to get to 155 by 4/1.
