High v. Low bar squats. Your opinion please
I did something to my squat form a few weeks ago and I hadn't been able to fix it alone so I asked one of the trainers at the gym to help me specifically with low bar squats. He said he would, and then a few days later showed me high bar squats. Then told me that the bar was too low on my back. I said I was looking at more…

Comparison of HRM and BMF
I've seen posts around by people saying their BMF is recording larger burns than their HRM but I was wondering if anybody had the opposite problem? My BMF says 241 calories burnt, my HRM says 384 burnt in 44 minutes of activity. I'm more inclined to go with BMF since it's a lower reading and I'd rather underestimate but I…

Weight lifting and small bruises
Since I started lifting on 13th June, I've been getting small round bruises dotted about. They are on my arms, legs and lower torso (they may be higher or on my back but I hadn't been paying much attention to them until today) and are about the size of a 5p coin (I think that's about the same size as a 1 cent coin). A…

Uk drivers, please answer my question
I go to the gym at around half five in the morning. I park in a car park and have to walk past disabled bays by some shops to get to the gym which are free. There is a sign saying "Disabled badge holders only, 9am - 5pm". Does that mean I can park there between 1700 and 0900? I don't want to park there if I'm not allowed,…

Deadlifts and DOMS
Evening, I'm due to do the second workout from NROLFW in the morning, but I'm still pretty sore from yesterday. So sore that it takes a lot of concentration and effort to sit down and stand up. Given the soreness, how advisable is it that I attempt deadlifts in the gym tomorrow? The other stuff will be fine, it's the…

Low blood pressure & HRM
I was just wondering if HRM are accurate for those with low blood pressure. I have fairly low blood pressure and a high resting heart rate because of it (80's - 90's normally, though when relaxing it does get into the 50's). Would the calorie burn be as accurate for me as for someone with a normal resting heart rate and…

Phenylalanine free gum or mints (UK)
Does anyone know of a phenylalanine (aspartame) free brand of chewing gum in the UK? One that I could buy in shops, I know they have some on amazon but I'd rather not have to specially order chewing gum all the time. Also, if there's any smint-like product which doesn't have that in, I'd also be happy (not polos! :noway: )…

Good afternoon healthy people!
So, I joined this site yesterday, unfortunately I found it half an hour after I had eaten an entire packet of cadbury fingers. I previously lost weight with another very similar website which I don't know if I'm allowed to name or not. I started there when I got on the scales and saw I was 13st 3lbs (185lbs). I'm…
