Finally happening!
I got my letter today! I start the process for VSG on April 26!!! Don't think I've ever been more happy and ready for anything in my life! I could use more friends for support/advice who are going through this.

I am on the waiting list for the sleeve (3 years). I'm in Canada and it's free, but you have to wait unless you want to pay out of pocket at a private clinic. Has anyone from Canada or the US traveled to Mexico for their surgery? What was your experience? Any advice? I'm looking into it and my doctor said he's known people to be very successful with their outcomes.

Every person is different and each situation is different. How will I know what's right for me? I feel like there is always a reason to not do this, but there are reasons to not do almost everything in life.

First Milestone!
Today I broke the 300lb mark and weighed in at 298! This is exactly 40lbs less than my heaviest. From now on 300lbs will only be a memory!!! :bigsmile:

Newbie
Having friends to support/understand you during weight loss is so important. I'm still new on this site with a lot of weight to lose. I've been eating well and literally "working my butt off"...so far down 11lbs.
