I am now wearing my 23 year old son's cast-off jeans. 35" waist down from my old 40's. He is in 32" mostly from swimming and strength training. I also inherited his 7.5 lb dumbbells so I have one more weapon for my fat fight.

1) Slow and steady wins the race. Over the long run 2 pounds a week is going to be the maximum sustainable loss. One pound a week if you are not very overweight, and half a pound as you near your actual goal. 2) Starvation just makes your body horde calories.
