Words of wisdom?
My daughter had this on her Facebook on a subject totally unrelated to "dieting", but thought it was MOST appropriate for MFP! "The reason people give up so fast is because they tend to look at how far they have to go instead of how far they have gotten". As I think about my own past experiences, this statement is "dead…

Four little words to keep you going
I WILL NOT QUIT! Just keep telling myself this over and over no matter how depressed I get that I don't "feel" like I'm getting there fast enough!

I did it....I really did it!
When I started this journey in February, I could barely walk .5 miles at a slow pace. Last night, I did two straight hours of ZUMBA!! WhooHooo! I tried Zumba the last time I was on a "diet" but only lasted MAYBE five minutes. Yeah, I'm pretty proud of myself right about now!!

But, when I walk at work (wearing the same shoes) I get shin splints every single time. What might I be doing to cause this; or what can I do to prevent it? Thanks in advance for your tips, and here's to…

Confused on calorie count
My husband made homemade chili with ground beef, kidney beans, pinto beans, tomatoes, etc. One calorie count I got for that off MFP said there were 500 calories in ONE cup! Today I clicked on a different one and it was only 200 calories for a bowl. How do I know how many calories I am REALLY consuming?
