50 lbs lost, finally "normal"
Well, I did it!!! I finally made it to the normal/healthy BMI category. After over two decades of fluctuating between being obese and overweight I have finally made it to my first goal. So proud. For those who haven't yet read my story, I posted it here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/434089-39-down-25-to-go-pics…

60 lbs gone...15 more to go. Progress pics.
I had posted a topic before but can't get in to it to update in that thread. So here's a new post for those that wanted to stay updated with my progress. 34 years old, 5'-4.5" tall, started at 197 lbs in January 2011 (before pic below is me in August 2009 @ 185 lbs). Currently (April 2012) I am 137 lbs. 15 more lbs to…

39 down, 25 to go (pics)
Earlier today I posted some before/during pics in the 2011 weight loss before & after pics. It got me thinking about how, when I first started on MFP, I would go through every before & after post, reading the stories that went with them and drawing as much inspiration from them that I could. Being that it's the New Year…

NSV? Who me? Yessiree!
So..............my first recorded NSV (I've had a few recently.....going to the grocery store without buying any chocolate, adding an extra workout to my day consistently, etc.) but the NSV I had today made me giggle a bit. Ever since my son was about 3 months old (he was born September 2010), I would put an arm around him…

Is this what you look like?
I'm sure we would all agree that how we view ourselves and how we view others are seen through two completely different sets of eyes....or at least SOME of us do  Here's a really cool chart that a friend sent me a while ago of what different weights "look" like. People have submitted their pictures of their height…

MFP is my BFF
I am so happy!!! I lost 5 pounds this week! (GOTTA LOVE WEEK ONE!!! ) I can't wait to see next week's results and the week after that..........and the week after that..........and the week after that....................................... If it wasn't for MFP, I would likely have lost focus on day three! Road trip…

Before & After pics
I know this should "technically" be in the "Success Stories" category, but nothing MOTIVATES me more than seeing pictures of those who have been successful. So if you don't mind, if you have the time....could you post some for me and be my inspiration? Otherwise, I'm stuck clicking on profile after profile and squinting at…

Yay me!
I wasn't sure which category to post this under, so I chose the Success Stories because, well.....for me....this is a HUGE success. I walked past the small (albeit, still there) stash of chocolate in the pantry and actually stopped myself mid-reach. I almost grabbed one, but stopped myself. As I sit here, still feeling…

MFP as my internet home page
I recently set MFP as my default home page for my internet browser. Everytime I log on to my computer to check Facebook or go surfing, BAM!!!!!!! There is my profile with my calorie count for the day. It's been keeping me on track by serving as a reminder every few hours about what my goal each day is. It has made a pretty…

If only...
...there was no such thing as 7:00pm to 10:00pm. I would be skinny if those hours didn't exist. I don't like to eat. Wait...let me rephrase that. I don't like to eat healthy foods - there are few healthy foods that I actually enjoy: some fruits, peanut butter (if you can call that "healthy"), whole grains but I really…
