...there was no such thing as 7:00pm to 10:00pm. I would be skinny if those hours didn't exist.
I don't like to eat. Wait...let me rephrase that. I don't like to eat healthy foods - there are few healthy foods that I actually enjoy: some fruits, peanut butter (if you can call that "healthy"), whole grains but I really don't like to eat meat or veggies, although I force myself to.
I honestly can't recall the last time I ate a healthy meal and said "Mmmm...this is delicious". So, I choke back healthy meals and snacks all day long and then once supper has been eaten, I'm still left with this unsatisfied feeling....almost an empty feeling.
It's really frustrating!
I hope that very soon, my body will feel satisfied after an evening stroll.
There...done my "woe is me" rant for the day

SAME here...I am trying to re-train my brain to see food as fuel and want to eat what is best for me
BUT if I could seriously live on chocolate cake and chocolate chip mint...I would...and would be happy and satisfied
I hate veggies and most fruits....I'm ok with whole grains, if I they are slathered with cheese
LOL
I'm the opposite though...after my kids go to bed at about 7:30..I don't eat anything until bedtime...during the day is when I eat/pick etc
Good luck!

You have yet to see the good foods you need to eat as your ally; rather, they're something to be endured and choked down. That's too bad. The mindset you have is going to plague you and make this harder for you than it has to be. When you see this lifestyle as an assett, and see the bigger picture down the road, it won't be quite as bad, and you'll look forward to those meals.
I come home looking forward to broiled salmon, mixed veggies with a small pat of butter, and Aunt Millies 12grain whole wheat, because I've seen the payoff of devoting myself to developing the taste for such things. The thought of potato chips, chocolate, BK or McD's frightens me.0 -
I wish I liked salmon. I really do. It's so good for the bod. I've tried it many times and prepared in different ways and everytime it challenged my gag reflex. And that goes for all types of seafood - I just cannot seem to get it down the gullet.
I don't mind chicken and steak but I'm trying to avoid red meat. So eating chicken for supper everyday gets a little monotonous.
I can (and do) eat other forms of protein: cottage cheese, lentils, etc. to mix things up and add a little variety, but I just can't seem to shake this empty feeling at the end of the day.
I'm not a fast food gal...never have been. But I am a carb-a-holic and those seem to be the only foods that "satisfy" my taste buds.0
