Sodium and Water Retention
I went way over on my sodium intake yesterday evening. I noticed a 2.4 pound gain on the scale this morning. I know that this isn't "weight" gain but water retention. I've been drinking a ridiculous amount of water today to try to flush. How long will it take to get rid of the extra water pounds?

I don't understand
I did the South Beach Diet phase 1 for 2 weeks.....lost 6 pounds. This week I re-introduced fruit with breakfast and one other carb per day and somehow have gained 1 pound back?! So I used to be an avid runner...until knee surgery. The surgically repaired knee is still not near 100% and now the other knee is almost as bad. So running is out. I just realized that i neeed to lose 100 pounds and it's a bit daunting! Especially since I lose 80 once before and put it ALL back on and then some. I could definitely use some online buddies, support nad maybe a challenge (nothing like friendly competition). :tongue:

In Search of Good Snack Options
I love popcorn, rice cakes with Peanut butter and pita chips and hummus but I find that I overeat each of these (once I get started...I just can't stop eating). Can anyone help with snack options (other than fruit) that won't send me into a binge?!
