Just curious - if you guys go over your calories one day, do you try to make up for the next day by going under?

Dry skin
Whenever I go into a calorie deficit, I've noticed my skin gets really dry - like white and cracked fingertips dry - and I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same experience? HRM calory accuracy?
I recently bought the Polar FT4 HRM, and have been loving it. But I was quite surprised to find that it tells me I'm burning more calories than MFP says, and I'm finding it a little too good to be true. Yesterday, I biked for 80 min, and it told me I burned 450 cals - MFP said 335. Any one have similar experiences?
