HRM calory accuracy?

I recently bought the Polar FT4 HRM, and have been loving it. But I was quite surprised to find that it tells me I'm burning more calories than MFP says, and I'm finding it a little too good to be true. Yesterday, I biked for 80 min, and it told me I burned 450 cals - MFP said 335. Any one have similar experiences?

HRM's are not the hyper accurate calorie counting devices people around here make them out to be. Shown to be up to 30% off for women's readings when it comes to calories.
Of course, they are called Heart Rate Monitors, not Calories Burned Monitors. I wonder why....0 -
