Down 93 lbs and counting
I've been overweight since childhood and obese into adulthood. One day I woke up and decided I wanted to make a change. I have two children of my own and I didn't want them following in my footsteps. I was teased in school and I did fine, but I don't want them to have to go through the same. I started my journey January…

The incredible shrinking woman
I am down 102lbs and feeling amazing. One sleepless night I decided that I was tired of feeling the way I felt. It was time to make a change. The next morning I started logging my food, exercising and never looked back. I found that passion, patience and persistence is the key to getting the weight off. I’m never going…

Just an ordinary girl - pics included
In the left photo I was 23 years old. I had horrible anxiety and wanted to fade into the background. I never wanted to draw attention to myself. In the right was taken on Friday. I am 38 years old now. My anxiety is nonexistent, I am still not a fan of attention but I share my story to hopefully inspire others. If this…

The comparison pics help me see the difference. Left side: 245 lbs, size 22. I wasn’t completely unhappy but I wasn’t…

103 lbs down and counting
I was overweight as a child and it carried over into adulthood. My anxiety was through the roof and my self confidence was nonexistent. I wasn’t outgoing and always tried to stay in the shadows. One sleepless night I decided that I was ready for a change. A change that was not only for myself, but for my family. I wanted…

100+ lbs down
I have been going back and forth with myself about posting these pics here. I feel so exposed lol. However, if I can help inspire just one person it is worth being a bit uncomfortable. My top pics are obviously starting pics. I was 245 lbs. I lacked self confidence, and wasn’t unhappy but not living up to my full…

245 lbs to 151 lbs and still going
I found my old pants deep in the drawer yesterday and it inspired me to take this picture. I started out wearing a size 22 pants and 2XL shirt. I am currently wearing 8/10 pants and a S shirt. It definitely has not been an easy journey. There’s been many ups and downs along the way. The one thing that remained constant is…

6 lbs to goal
I can’t believe I am typing these words. I am 6 lbs from my first goal weight. It’s been a long time in the making. I started my journey Jan. 2010 at 245 lbs and lost 75 lbs over 3 years. I lost my Uncle and Dad 4 months within one another and gained it back slowly over time. I pulled myself out of that hole on Feb 2016…

5:2
So I am trying out the 5:2 diet. Basically you eat normally 5 days a week and fast (only eating 500 calories for women or 600 calories for men). It supposed to help you lose weight and improve your health and longevity. I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it out. I have chosen Tuesday/Thursdays as my fasting days. It's not…

What's your main motivation?
My kids are my main motivation. I need to be the best version of me so I can lead by example. I had weight issues as a kid and was made fun of daily. It hurt my self esteem. I am trying to teach them to love their bodies and how to eat healthy and get movement in everyday.
