I’m 50 and trying to lose weight. Been tracking religiously for about 3 months and only lost 4lbs. Currently 200lbs. I have a desk job but walk about 9-10K steps on average per day and I am new to it, but added strength training 3x per week about a month ago. Bad to work out only 1 arm?
I broke my wrist about a month after I added strength training to my routine. I can’t do much with that arm (other than physical therapy!) but if i did an upper body workout on only one side, is that bad? Maybe I should just do core : lower body and my walks for the next month or two?

Fitbit calories?
Just got a fitbit a few weeks ago and love it for motivation to move more! Do I eat the calories it gives me (I have it linked to mfp) Because I have a desk job, I have myself as sedentary. When I run, etc, I do generally eat bsck those calories ( trying to net around 1200-1350) but not sure i am supposed to for the fit…

Home DVD like "Body Pump"
I used to do Body Pump at my gym 3x a week and loved it. I don't go to the gym anymore with young kids, but would love do something similar at home. Any recommendations?

Weight of meat before or after cooking?
What is most accurate for calorie count? Weighing meat before or after cooking. i had a pack of lean steak (1 lb) and it was 3 pieces. I had put in my diary that it would be 5.3oz (16 divided by 3). After I grilled it, each piece was about 3oz. Thanks!

HIIT Intervals on treadmill?
Suggestions? I was doing 30 secs at 7.5mph then walking at 4.0mph for 1 min (repeat 15-20 times). I get really annoyed with the 30 second interval! because it requires me to practically be staring at the treadmill constantly to see when to start punching the up/down arrow fro speed - LOL. Burning less calories level 2
It is not a ton less, but I am burning about 25-40 calories less on my HRM for level 2 compared to level 1. Have only done it twice and don't like it at all!

Push ups -- will I ever be able to do "standard" ones?
I'm doing the thirty day shred and can now do two sets of 15-18 push ups but only girlie ones. When I try to do a proper one, I can only drop a few inches without sacrificing form. I am 175 ... So will doing a few standard push-ups get attainable with a lot of practices or do I need to weigh less first?

Joined in May,but very spotty until Jan 2. I bounced from172-179 depending on my focus. I increased my calories (had been doing about 1200/1300) and am finally losing but is it just muscle? I had not been working out as good the last two weeks because of travel for Thanksgiving and work comittments. I've lost about 4lbs.

Biggest Loser -- Strength & Scuplt calories??
I have no idea how many calories to attribute to one of my fave strength training work outs. It is the biggest loser volume 1 strength and scuplt (about 20 minutes). I put something into MPF (Strength training) and got 79 calories (I am ~ 175lbs). Does that sound about right?
