You know you've had a great workout if...
... you can't lift your arms far enough to reach the combination lock on your locker after your workout. Let's hear some others! :)

Please evaluate squat form
Doing squats last week, I got a funny pain in my lower back that has me worried. So yesterday, my first time back at the gym since then (due to illness), I took this video of myself to check my form. I'm wondering if I'm not keeping my back straight enough at the bottom of my squat, and that I might be on my way to hurting…

How do you know when to stop?
I'm on week 11 of SL, and I haven't yet had a single stall. The lifts have quickly become freaking brutal. I've never lifted this heavy before ever, and I'm starting to worry about what will happen when it finally gets to be too much. I know I'm a stubborn SOB, and I worry that I'll force my way through a set when I should…

Week 7 observations
Hey SL friends, just wanted to chime in and report some progress. I'm in the middle of week 7 of SL5x5. Too much whey protein?
It's difficult for me to eat 200g of protein every day. I can only eat so much at a meal before I just get sick of eating. I can eat about 100g of protein from food like chicken, fish, and eggs; and then I have a couple of whey protein shakes each day to bring me up to 200g. I know it's not ideal, but it's what seems to…

Just getting started -- Hi!
Hello all, I started Stronglifts 5x5 for the first time this week. I've done weight lifting for a while, but mostly used barbells and machines, so I'm looking forward to trying out this new way of getting strong! To help me optimize my efforts, I decided to come back to MFP and track my food, so I get the right fuel. Along…

Hey all, 37 year old male from Utah here. My goals are to shrink my gut and get stronger. To accomplish that, I'll be doing strength training and eating better. I love that this community is here. I'd love to have friends, so that we can support each other, so feel free to add me. Great to meet you all! :)
