how do you log chopped salads
I just got back from the deli and it was make your own salad. I had Romain Chicken Feta Beets Carrots Candied walnuts Corn Peppers Chipolte Ranch Dressing How would I account for all of this? Do I just manually guess at a number of calories for my lunch and manually enter it? Any other suggestions?

Hi I am a 5' 10" Mail 248 lbs. (started at 269) MFP tells me I am supposed to heat 1,500 calories per day. According to a BMR calculator I was told I should have 3,000 calories a day. it would be amazing if you could scan a food with the app and it would tell you the GI number. Also have have the glycemic numbers in your daily food list.

scanning numbers are incorrect
A colleague of mine is also using myfitness pal and he told me today that he compared a few packages with the numbers that came up on his phone after he bar code scanned. He said the numbers were way different from the label on the package to the label that was scanned. Why would this be?
