You Never Regret a Workout...
Yesterday I had a scheduled run after work and I was dreading it. I just didn't feel like it and I was looking for excuses to get out of it. I got dressed and put one foot in front of the other and next thing you know I ended up really enjoying it. It was the most pleasant run in a long time. I felt great. My legs, heart,…

Insanity Max 30 - Week 1
I just finished the first week of Insanity Max 30! It was a humbling experience since I had to follow the modified version for a lot of the workouts. All week I maxed at approximately the 6-minute mark and today I went all the way to 7:50! I am sure I'll do better next week after the two rest days. Wish me luck!

Half Way Into Insanity Max 30
I just started Week 5 and it's all new workouts this week. So far, I really like this program. I feel stronger. My legs are looking strong and I find myself staring at them in pictures  I'm incorporating calorie counting now so I am hoping to see a real change in the scale and mirror by the time I'm done. Wish me…

Dipping My Toe In The Weight Loss Waters
Here I go again. I've started this journey many times with some success but I've never reached the goal. My story is like many others...never really a heavy person but not skinny either. 8 years ago I realized I had gained 30 lbs without even noticing. I joined WW and started running and within a few months I had dropped…

Would you buy a scale if you were me?
This post is overall positive. I had a baby 18 months ago. I started running again this year and lost weight (yay). So three months ago I was lighter than pre-pregnancy (yay!) but I got stuck at low 150's never able to go below 152 and I kept going up and down 3 lbs. Then last month we sold our house and we moved…

Motivation During That Time of The Month
Hi ladies (and supporting gents), It's day one. You know the day all your insides decide that they don't like you. It's the day that even though you know you are a badass, your brain is telling you to sit down and throw yourself a pity party because it's the first day of your period. Boo hoo! Poor ME! I mean, I'm glad it's…

Obsessed with weight loss TV shows!!!
Currently watching Fit-to-Fat-to-Fit and I can't get enough. I do wish they didn't spend so much time on the Fit to Fat portion. I'm always so happy to see the end result and am amazed at what these people can do in 4 months (fat to fit). It gives me hope. If they can loose 80lbs, I can should be able to loose these 20lbs!

Ran 3 miles this morning!! Finally worked back up to it!!
I am so excited that I was finally able to run 3 miles again. I haven't been able to run more than one or two miles before feeling exhausted. A couple years ago I would run 3m 5xwk. The only thing I can think of is that since I'm lifting before I jump on the treadmill, my body is already tired. Oh well, today was a huge…

Goal: 15lbs by November
Hi all, I was introduced to this site by my good friend who has lost over 75lbs in just a few months. He is such an inspiration! Two years ago I weighed myself at my absolute highest 175 and I could not wrap my head around it. I didn't know how I had let myself get there. I started working out and doing weight watchers and…

Mental Stages of Weight Loss
Hello! I am new to this site. My friend has lost almost 80lbs (wow!) and he recommended that I visit this site. I'll use another post to tell you my story, but I have a question. Do you know of a good book or article I can read on the mental stages of weight loss? I'm curious because as I go through this journey, I've…
