HIIT and...
Just started with a personal trainer this week and her style is HIIT workouts, which is great for me I am willing to try anything since I have tried every diet and at home workout program known to man. Since I meet with her only once a week, she gives me 2 other HIIT workouts to do before I see her again. Was wondering…

Looking to change things up...
I work out 6 days a week. I eat gluten free due to health issues. I like to prep meals for the week, but am getting tired of chicken, rice, and broccoli. Lately I have been lazy and just do a sandwich on gluten free bread or eating whatever is brought into the office (work in a medical office and get a lot of lunches). I…

Running 5k and temp is only going to be 8 degree's.
Is this a safe temp to run outside? The lowest I have gone is 20 degree's. Little nervous about this temp. Has anyone else ever run at this temp? If so - what did you wear to keep warm? Any other suggestions on how to get through this would be helpful as well. I really would like to run this race, but I want to be safe as…

Is this normal???
When I run I feel like I need water every couple miles (not a lot, but enough to have to carry a water bottle). Everything I have read said that I should be able to go 4-8 miles without needing water. I know I can't make it long. I am always well hydrated. I have one kidney, and not sure if that has anything to do with it.…

Running - more important carbs or proteins?
Posted this on the general board as well, but not sure how many people would see it. Curious what the runners on this board are more concerned with - carbs or protein? I know both are important to give you energy and build muscle, but you always hear about carb loading before a longer run. Now I have read conflicting…

Running - more important carbs or proteins?
Curious what the runners on this board are more concerned with - carbs or protein? I know both are important to give you energy and build muscle, but you always hear about carb loading before a longer run. Now I have read conflicting reports about this - more recently reading something saying that carb loading is not…

Couple more ???'s for Runners
I am newer to running (have only done a couple 5k's, but will be doing a 10k and a half this summer). I run 4 days a week right now. Saturday's my longer run day (only up to 4-6 miles at this point). I do yoga on the off days (though looking to start weights soon - that was whole other thread). So here are the questions.…

Runner looking to add strength training
Hello, I run 4 days a week. Saturday is my long run days. I am looking to add weights 2 days a week. I was wondering if there was a schedule that I should follow? Is there a anything online I can find? I have free weights at home (which is where I work out) that go up to 75lbs each. I know I am no where close to lifting…

Does MFP calorie goal change with weight loss?
I know it says that I have lost 4lbs on my ticker, but that was from over a year ago. My weigh in is tomorrow, and I was wondering if my calories adjust as I lose weight or do I have to go into settings and reset my goals? I am sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything close to it. Thanks!

The good, the bad, and sometimes the ugly.
I have not been on MFP for quite a while, but I have decided to make 2015 my fittest year ever. My goal is to log my food everyday for the next year no matter how great or how bad my day is, to hold myself accountable no matter what. I also love to run, and plan on running my first half marathon sometime before I turn 41…

So let me get this straight....
I am eating 1600 or less right now for the past two weeks - working out 5 days a week (walk/jog on the other 2 days), and 3 out of the 5 days I am using weights - I am doing the Chalean Extreme program. My scale has moved 1lb - really??? So, I read the road map to fitness and put in my numbers and at my activity level in…
