A question on saturated fat
To those who track this on their food settings: How much saturated fat do you consume on a daily basis?

How people at a normal weight eat!
My co-workers are all in great shape. That doesn't mean they eat very healthy foods: some do, some don't. We have lunch together every day and since being on MFP, I've begun paying attention to how people of "normal" weight eat. 1. They eat small quantities of food. 2. They don't finish everything on their plate. 3. They…

Morbid question
I didn't know in which room to post this. Has anybody here had a heart attack? What were the symptoms and did you have to modify your fitness program after treatment?

Am I alone?
I don't have a set deadline for when I want to weigh X number of pounds. I am not a gym rat but I stay active every day. If I skip a day I don't feel guilty. I don't worry about whether I'll need a tummy tuck or or lifts here and there when I get to my target BMI. I don't adhere to any particular dietary regimen. I eat…

Cottage cheese, please
Does anybody know of a brand of cottage cheese that is low sodium? I love cottage cheese but 440mg for 0.5 cup of Borden's 1% cottage cheese is ridiculous.

No Appetite
What happens when you cut back on carbs from "white" foods and high glycemic foods, up your protein intake and water, reduce your sodium, eliminate 99% of sugar from your diet and work out a little bit? I don't know about you but I've lost my appetite :( I don't feel hungry which in turn makes me feel not so energetic. I'm…

Shin Splints
How do I get rid of this awful pain in both legs? I walk and I'm out of shape. I don't want to stop walking :(

Knee hurts badly :(
My knee hurts. It's old pain that I thought was long gone but 10 days of walking and here it is. If you put your hand on top of your knee cap and move it to the left of it...that's the pain spot. What do I do? This is upsetting me so much. :(

Protein intake
MFP tells me to stick with 68g. I find it impossible. I planned my menu and the closest I got to 68 was 73! I've been going up to about 109 because I haven't paid attention. I don't work out. I don't do strength training. Not yet, anyway. Do you stick with your MFP protein count?

Help, please
I've been here for about a week. I have a long way to go before hitting goal. In this week, I've drastically modified my eating habits and have stayed away from sugar, too much sodium, great reduction in carb intake, more fiber etc. I lost 11 pounds in a week but most of it is water weight. It may sound like a big amount…

Portobello mushrooms with mozzarella recipe
I think I saw a delicious recipe for portobello mushrooms with a slice of mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and spinach somewhere here. I can't find it! If anyone here knows which one I'm talking about, could you please bump it up? Thanks :)

MFP set my daily calories at 1730. Too high or just right?
I have only been here a week. MFP set my daily calorie intake at 1730 but now that I am tracking every morsel, I see that I don't go beyond 1300. Sometimes it is 1200 or less, depending on how vegetarian my meals are. I am easing my way into work outs so I know I am not losing many calories by walking 20-30 minutes a day.…

Exercise aches & pains...
I'm new here and new to the fitness endeavor. It's been a very long time since I worked out so I'm starting slow. For now, walking a little bit to ease my way in is good enough. Did/do any of you have conditions that cause muscle or joint pain? I don't mean the "normal" soreness that accompanies working out but conditions…

Use of oil in food
Olive oil tends to take up the bulk of my calories. Oven roasted vegetables, salads, even plain skillet cooked foods all require some amount of oil. I use 3 tbs for 3 different dishes, that close to 400 calories. How do you cook your food and keep your oil consumption to a minimum?
