Losing the Weight Vol. 2 - The Baby Weight Struggle
Three years ago I decided I was tired of feeling so uncomfortable in my body. I logged onto this site, looked up a C25k program, and seven months later I had lost almost 70 pounds and run a 5k, 8k, and a half marathon. At my smallest I was around 145 when in full swing training. When not my weight was around 155 and I was…

So, scars are sexy?
Whilst getting my tattoo touched up today, one of the guys points at my forehead and says I love that. And I automatically knew he was talking about my scar. I can't count the number of times random guys have told me they love it, think it's sexy, even go so far as try to run their finger along it. I'm not saying it…

My reward :) What was/is yours?
I am still a work in progress. I haven't reached my ultimate goal. And I realize I probably never will. Which is not a bad thing. I don't ever want to stop setting new goals and working to improve myself. That being said, I had a reward in mind before I ever started this journey that I would give to myself when I was…

Half Marathon!!!
This morning I ran a half-marathon. Ran, the entire time. 10 months ago I weighed over 200 pounds and had never run a second in my life. Today I ran 13.1 miles on a trail: tree roots, rocks, concrete lattices for traction on the many hills, mud, and dirt. And yeah it took me 2 hours and 34 minutes. But 10 months ago I…

60 pounds down . . . with pictures ;)
I really enjoy looking at success stories and watching people change their lives and bodies for the better. I thought about waiting until I was done losing weight to post but I'm really happy with how far I've come along, even though I still have a little ways to go. So I'm being a little post happy, BUT I hit 60 pounds…

NSV - I ran a 10k!
So as I meet goals along my running journey I like to create posts to share, to motivate, to receive motivation, and just to feel great about my accomplishments. I started running towards the end of June this year. And I use the term loosely as I started out jogging only 2 minutes. The couch to 5k program was awesome.…

Wii u - anyone else get it tonight?
So this the first time ever that I've gotten a system on the day it came out, but Walmart had a nice little preorder layaway deal and I live in an extremely small town so it wasn't a big deal to get. Waiting for it to update now, already love playing with the new control pad. Just wondering if anyone else decided to go for…

48 Pounds Down with Pics :)
I really enjoy looking at success stories and watching people change their lives and bodies for the better. I thought about waiting until I was done losing weight to post but I'm really happy with how far I've come along, even though I still have a little ways to go. In June of this year I finally got tired of feeling so…

Halloween Costume - Yes or No?
Feel free to be honest, I actually have a party to go to this year and I'm trying different things. This is just one option. I'm a little brave since my weight loss. Does this look good or no? I'm tough, be hones, but not brutal please :) . Thanks!

NSV - ran my first 5k!!!
So I just finished my first 5k! My official running time was 32:21. I am so happy and proud of myself. I have worked so had to get to this point. I ran the whole time and it felt great. I think I can start thinking of myself as a runner now :) .

September RUN Challenge - differentiated style
So I spent a while on the forums searching for something like this but couldn't find anything that fit what I needed, so if I am repeating, forgive me. I did try!! I tried a challenge last month for 100 miles in August. No way I was going to make that as I have only been running about 10 weeks, but I joined just to see how…

Somewhat strange running problem
My problem stems from the fact that my toes aren't all that straight. In fact the last three all kind of curl into each other. Never been a problem before but now that I'm running and walking a lot it's become painful. My middle toe, even though I've cut the nail down to the quick and I cut it often, has rubbed the skin…

A major NSV for me!
I am currently on Week 8 of the C25K program. I felt so great running today that once I reached my 20 minute goal, I decided I wanted to keep going. Thus far the most I have run is 17 minutes, completing about a mile and half in that time frame. Today I ran for 32 minutes! And ended up running 2.4 miles! Yeah it was a slow…

Karma - Ain't it Grand?
Not that I've always been the nicest crayon in the box, I've had my rude moments, we all have, but I am still a big believer in good old politeness. I saw bless you when someone sneezes, I say yes ma'am and yes sir, and I try to hold doors for people if I know they are coming right behind me. That's one of my biggest pet…

LCG - Lord of the Rings
So I'm bored and this game just kicked my butt, but it's only my second time playing so maybe I shouldn't be bummed that I couldn't even make it past the first quest of the scenario I chose. Anyone else ever play? Just wondering if I have any fellow nerds out there

Couch to 5K? Anyone wanna try it too?
I recently started a couch to 5K plan. There are several out there but the one I'm trying I found on pinterest and has combinations of walking and running and you get out and walk/run 3 to 4 times a week. It starts out with 5 minutes walking, 2 minutes jogging, and then 5 minutes walking. Over the course of 10 weeks you…

Onederland Bwahahaha
I see other people bragging and I love it, and I love to give encouragement and get it right back so here it is: I finally hit Onederland today, foooorrr the first time in two years. Yeah, go me!!! Also, I haven't been on MFP that long, and well, to be perfectly honest, encouragement and compliments are my crack. Yes, I…

NSV - I'm awesome!
So I've been doing the couch to 5k deal sticking with it. Towas w4d3, and I was supposed to walk for 5 minutes, run for 9, and walk for 5. I'm at my parents house for the weekend and for the first time I could measure how far I was running because I know the distance between my parents house and the end of the road. I'm…
