So I just finished my first 5k! My official running time was 32:21. I am so happy and proud of myself. I have worked so had to get to this point. I ran the whole time and it felt great. I think I can start thinking of myself as a runner now .

Woo hoo! Great job! My first is next week, and I'm a little nervous. What were your times like before the race?0

I've been friends with you for a while now, and seeing how much time and effort you have put into your running is amazing! YOU ARE A RUNNER!0

Great job! Congrats!
Now clean out a dresser drawer to make room for all the race tees you're going to start accumulating.0 -
Congrats! That is a great time for your first 5K! Actually, any time is a great time for any 5K!0

Congrats!! That's one of my goals! I need to get back in to running! Has anyone done C5K?0

Great job! My wife and I ran our first 2 weeks ago. Before starting to live healthy and lose weight with MFP, I didn't think I'd ever consider myself a runner. Amazing what a change in attitude will do for you, isn't it?0

Well done, what an achievement, hope to do one at some point!0

Welcome to the world of running my friend. I remember when I ran my first 5k, it was such a wonderful feeling. Here's to many more.0

I did it over a year ago and now I can run for 45 minutes easily. It's amazing how many calories you burn running over 30 minutes.0 -
Nice job!!!0

Welcome to the club! I have a friend who saves all her race bibs and puts them in a scrapbook. I didn't save my first one and wish I had. Your first 5K is something you will always remember. Congratulations on a great time and doing it!0

Excellent! Congratulations!0

I started running with the couch to 5k program. I wanted to start running but had no clue of how to go about building my stamina and that program helped a lot! Go for it0

Is it silly to look at that shirt and I say, I earned you! They didn't have any mediums left so I had to take a small, but if I keep going it'll fit soon . Thanks, and you are looking great!0

Sincere congratulations! As a fellow C25K graduate I know that amount of work that goes into that 5K. And, excellent time for your first race.0
-
Great job!!! And welcome to the running world! 10k is then the next goal?0

That's great! Good for you!0

Congratulations! And a great time, too. I find signing up for the next race to be very motivating!0

Congratulations! I still haven't ran an official race but I'm really looking forward to my shot at earning a new running shirt instead of just buying them every couple of weeks. Been running since July, and it seems that everything I bought then is too big now.0

Congrats, and AWESOME time!! I'm doing my first 5k 2 weeks from today!!0

Great job!!! And welcome to the running world! 10k is then the next goal?
You got it! . I've run 5 and 1/2 miles as my max but I am ready to increase that length. I've just been working on pace for the 5k distance lately.
So my official results were 87 out of 207 (several of which were walkers, as it was a run/walk, which most are), 33 out of the females, and 4th in my age division (25-29).
I'll take it, not bad for my first race, or for a chick who just started running (and by that I mean starting out walking 5 minutes, jogging 2 minutes, then walking again for 5) at the end of June! It rocks, and can't wait to sign up for another one!0
