Harder to stay on track on rest days.
Holy hell. Here's a little back story: I decided to take a full week off from any workouts to help my hip heal. My hip has been bothering me for a couple months now and is the result of overcompensating for a minor ankle sprain towards the beginning of summer. I have bursitis in my hip so it's painful to run so I stopped…

Indecisive tall girl.
Hey everyone! My name is Keshia and I'm 28 years old. I am a hair shy of 5'10" and currently weighing in at 159 lbs today. I'm a busy mother of 3 kids under 10. I run and I lift. I'm not overweight, I'm not underweight. I've been an athlete all my life. I'm looking for contact on MFP of other women like myself that eat…

Binge eating and IIFYM
I have a feeling this may turn into a disaster. But I'm going to write the post anyways. Why? Because I'm in need of a little bit of input from somewhere that I am still slightly anonymous. THIS POST IS NOT TO DEBATE ANYTHING. This might be a joke to some but to me, this is my life. Quick background: After baby #3, I got…

Lifting during Half Marathon training
Let me start by saying that I am a runner. I am also a lifter of really heavy things. This being said, I am just past halfway point in my training towards my first half marathon. I've done more 5Ks than I can count and enough 10Ks that they don't seem to be all that long anymore. But I do love to lift. Since it is race…

Ladies who lift and run?
I have done a few searches for something similar to this but have found only older posts. A few stats: I'm 27, mother of 3 humans and 1 great dane, full time employee, part time student, lifter, runner, recovering anorexic. I've been at "goal weight" for a while and have steadily put on about 5 pounds of muscle in the last…

How did you start IIFYM?
I have done a bit of research on this and must say that I am intrigued. HOWEVER, I do notice that I gain weight when I eat over about 1400-1500 calories. A little background: 27 years old, 5'9" and CW is 157. Thinnest (and far TOO thin) was 142. I eat a fairly "clean" diet, workout 5-6 days a week where I lift about 85% of…

27 year old female. Maintaining. Lifting. Anyone else?
I am 27 years old. A mom to a 7 year old, 5 year old and 2 year old. Wife. Student and employee. I have been at my goal weight for just about 2 years now. After I had my 2 year old in February of 2011, I started my fitness and wellness journey. I eat a fairly clean diet. I'm not perfect but it is a work in progress as I am…
