Low calorie, low budget lunch ideas
I came across this page a long time back, which has some pretty good ideas for low calorie, low budget lunches. The shopping prices are in GBP, but the lists give some idea of what to eat! http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/food/low_calorie/credit-crunch/low-calorie-lunch-ideas.htm Does anyone else have any good, cheap…

Cook'n - has anyone tried it?
http://www.dvo.com/index.html I came across this programme this morning, and it seems to be pretty interesting as a way to monitor food, calories, budget and so on. Has anyone tried it? I'm considering purchasing it but would like to know if there's anyone who can give an unbiased review first! :)

Is anyone else using Health Month as a motivator?
I stumbled across healthmonth.com and I'm finding it a fun way to track things, even though I'm only three days in. MFP helpsme to monitor my progress so I can fill it in there, and it's the kind of competition that I find really motivates me. Has anyone else been using it?

February Goals
What are everyone's goals for the end of February? My main one isto try and lose at least another 2kg. I managed to drop 4.2kg so far this month, but realistically speaking I think 2kg is a more manageable goal. If I can lose more, then all the better! :) To do this, I aim to have two weeks of net 1200 calories days, and…

Beautiful motivational video
I found this posted on Facebook today, about a paratrooper who was diagnosed by doctors as being unable to ever walk again unassisted. There are tears in my eyes after watching! Hopefully, the link here will work, because I can only find a version of this on FB... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151007386498082

Stuck!
I've been stuck gaining and losing the same 1-2lbs for the last two weeks or so. They go, they come back, they go again, they come back... I can't seem to shift them permanently! For the last three weeks or so, I've been eating at my BMR, which is around 1800. My diary's set to 1770, I eat back whatever I've burnt off.…

Working out calories in homemade tea
I feel like I've got a cold coming on, so I'm going to whip myself up a batch of cold-busting tea tonight. The only thing is, I'm not sure how to work out the calories in it. The ingredients will be as follows: - 50g fresh ginger root - 2 whole lemons - juice, rind and flesh - 3tbsp honey - 2tsp ground black pepper - 5…

BMR and calorie intake
I think I already know the answer to this, but I'd like to know if I'm right! MFP's BMR calculator tells me that my BMR is 1,816. Does that mean that I need to be eating 1,816 calories a day? At present, I'm eating around 1300-1400, depending on how much I exercise. I've been losing weight (except for this past week where…

A small victory...
I felt kinda bad yesterday when a friend dissed using the Wii and Wii Fit to lose weight, saying it couldn't possibly work and that it was stupid. She also had a go at my calorie-counting method, saying that it wouldn't work. But then I looked at the differences between what she's doing to lose weight, and what I'm doing:…

Quick, filling breakfast ideas
I love my breakfast, and like something a little more substantial to get me through until 11am snacktime. But I'm worried that I might end up getting too static in my choices, and I don't want to risk getting bored! So, my question to you all is: what do you eat for breakfast? Since I went off my dietician-delivered food,…
