A small victory...

I felt kinda bad yesterday when a friend dissed using the Wii and Wii Fit to lose weight, saying it couldn't possibly work and that it was stupid. She also had a go at my calorie-counting method, saying that it wouldn't work. But then I looked at the differences between what she's doing to lose weight, and what I'm doing:

She eats cooked carrots or soup every day for lunch, skips dinner and busts her butt at the gym every night... and hasn't lost any weight in the month and a half or so of her trying.

I eat all sorts of yummy stuff within my calorie limit, I have fun when I work out, I feel so much more capable of /doing/ things nowadays - like running up two storeys when I get home... and I've lost 20lbs in 45 days.

I've still got a long way to go, but it makes me so happy that what I'm doing is working for me! :)

Keep up the good work! I KNOW you'll succeed doing what you're doing! Don't listen to her -- and if she says anything, just remind her that everyone loses weight differently and through different methods. And that you are happy with the results you're seeing.

    That and you're having FUN!

    So, kudos!
