question about burning calories..
I know the general rule of losing weight. That you have to burn more than you consume. How true is this? for example today iv eaten aroudn 1580 calories. but iv only burned around 200 or so. Does this mean i gotta burn over 1500 calories to lose weight?..because iv noticed on some they dont burn nearly what they eat and…

lower leg pain when walking-help!
so Because im so overweight now, iv been trying to obviously diet and exercise. The last two times iv tried to briskly walk for half an hour, iv noticed a painful leg pain on my lower leg. From what i researched it sounds like it could be shin splits. It burns and aches so much I have to stop walking. It will just happen…

Food i ate is not in the database
What do i do? because i have no idea how many calories it was. It was a pretty large taco salad from ponchos mexican restaurant. But none of there things is listed in the database when i entered it.anyone else run into this issue?

biggest loser fitness plan ya or nay?
I know here on the site it says to lose no more than 2 pounds a week. But surely its ok to do so right? I watch "The biggest loser* and they exercise 2 hours a day every day and been known to drop up to 11 pounds aweek and they al seem more than healthy. If they can then just wondering..would it be safe for me to do so?

Is it better to eat before or after a workout?
Im planning to get up at 6 A.M to to go walking every morning, so I was wondering...do i eat breakfast before i go or when i get back?...wouldnt it make more sense to do it before so i can burn it off? also I plan to go jogging for another half an hour around 7 in the evening starting tomorrow. should I eat dinner before…

alternative to weights?
I want to weight train but at the moment, I don;t have any set of weights to use. Iv heard that filling empty 2 liter coke bottles with water works, is this true? If not does anyone know something? else i can do? :frown:
