Old Pictures and Home Movies
I'd love to know if anyone has had similar experiences when looking at old pictures and movies. Please read my rather long blog post and let me know. I'm sure many MFP pals have felt the same way! Here's my post title: 8 mm Life Lessons (Warning - Long post but good moral to the story!).

Exercise and Heat
OMG! It's HOT! If it's this hot in Michigan (99 degrees yesterday) how hot is it everywhere else? Do you burn more calories exercising in the heat? It sure feels like it! I can sweat standing still in the shade.

I HATE vegetables!
Well, I really don't hate them but I don't like them much. I'll eat a salad or steamed broccoli with cheese sauce but I just do not like the texture or taste of most vegetables. I have to force myself to eat them and the whole time I'm just chewing and chewing with no enjoyment whatsoever. I'd like to find some simple…

Hungry during workout!
I had a very strange thing happen today when I was doing my normal workout. I was actually HUNGRY! My tummy was growling and everything. I exercise in the morning before work and always have two Special K bars before going to the gym. I was out of the gym recently for 5 days on vacation but I did walk and workout just a…

Do you have ravenous days?
I'm not sure how to respond to this feeling, but for the first time in a very long time, I woke up hungry today and have been ravenous all day. I've been trying to eat something healthy and satisfying every couple of hours. I did work out this morning, but not more than my normal. I haven't gone over on my calories today,…

Motivation during long plateaus
I'm finding it very hard to remain motivated right now. I've been on a plateau for 3 months now. I'm not ready to give up or anything, I just am not terribly motivated to log calories and exercise when it seems not to be producing results. Up until January I was very successful, 49 pounds in 6 months, but now nothing in 3…

Do you burn more calories when you're stressed?
I'm not sure, but it seems when I'm stressed I must burn more calories. I know my heart rate increases when I'm frustrated, angry or way too busy. I also sweat just sitting still when I'm stressed. Logic tells me that you must burn more calories when your body is in that heightened state. Could it be that stress is good…

Consistently going over protein allowance - is this bad?
This is my first week with MFP. I'm enjoying it a lot, but have a rather strange question. I'm able to stay at or just below my recommended calories, carbs, sugars and fat, but I consistently go over my protein allotment. Am I doing something wrong? Is this even a bad thing? Everything else is well within the recommended…

Why no calories burned for strength training?
I'm very new to all of this. I am trying to do 40-50 minutes of cardio exercise five days a week, plus 20-30 minutes of strength training (weight machines) five days a week. The cardio exercise list calories burned but the strength training exercises do not. Can anyone tell me why? Doesn't strength training burn some…
