Hungry during workout!

I had a very strange thing happen today when I was doing my normal workout. I was actually HUNGRY! My tummy was growling and everything. I exercise in the morning before work and always have two Special K bars before going to the gym. I was out of the gym recently for 5 days on vacation but I did walk and workout just a bit while we were gone but nothing like my normal routine. Last Thursday & Friday when I returned from vacation I worked out like a fiend ... my legs were really sore on Saturday. So this morning (Monday) I get up to do my normal gym routine and half-way through my stomach is growling and I'm actually feeling super hungry. What gives? Has anyone ever had this happen to them even though you eat something before going to the gym? I don't know if it's related to being on vacation last week but I thought perhaps that might shed some light on the situation.

    Happens all the time. You can either work through it or you can take a protein shake with you to sip on - that can often boost performance, especially if you're lifting. It'd be a better idea than those special K bars anyway!
