homemade crockpot yogurt
I've made this now twice with excellent results. It's important to allow the milk to heat up to about 170, then cool it down to between 120-130 degrees F before adding your starter. I use yogourmet yogurt starter, but you can use just some plain yogurt, the fresher the better. The young cultures are stronger and more…

Jawbone UP....after two months it stopped working!
I've had my UP for less than two months. Yesterday is just stopped. It won't charge, or sync, it's deadder than a doornail. Oddly, my daughters UP also failed within the past two weeks, same thing, it just died. They were pretty quick about sending her a new one, and I hope I get a replacement soon also. ANyone else have…

Any Jawbone UP users on MFP?
I finally took the plunge and got my Jawbone Up a couple days ago. It would be fun to add some MFP's to my "team" and encourage each other along the way. I really like this gadget. It's motivating me to be more active. If you have a Jawbone up please add me? Thanks

Crockpot Carnitas
I made this today and it turned out great! I served it with cauliflower rice. Macros are good on this one and it was easy and tasty. The family loved it also. I skipped the last step (broiling it to crisp it up at the end) because I was hungry and I'm a little lazy too. found here at this website…

Subbing PB2 with peanut flour?
Has anyone tried substituting PB2 with regular peanut flour? As far as I can tell, they are one in the same, defatted peanut butter. I am a tightwad and would prefer to get it at the lowest price. Byrd Mill has 5# for 23.00, macros are pretty much identical to PB2, about 1/3 less price. Any thoughts?

Skinny Taste Buffalo Chicken Skins
I made these for supper and wow, so so yummy! I baked the potatoes in the crockpot, so they were ready when I got home from work. I just thinned out some regular full fat bleu cheese dressing with greek yogurt for the topping. I used full fat cheese just because I prefer it. But these were very remarkably flavorful. I find…

Chicken Parm meatballs.
from www.dinneralovestory.com I tried these today and they are yummy! I used ground turkey instead of chicken and cut down on the mozzarella cheese topping by half. They were very good. Here are the macros, presuming you make 12 servings 2 meatballs is 332 calories, 12g carbs, 17 gm fat, 32 gm protein and 636 mg of sodium.…

Instead of giving in to a craving....
I have been struggling to make consistent healthy food choices. Today I wanted a high calorie treat. This is how my conversation with myself went: Take a breath and when in doubt, don't. Remember how lousy you will feel, physically and emotionally, after you eat it The momentary pleasure of eating this is not worth…
