Subbing PB2 with peanut flour?

Has anyone tried substituting PB2 with regular peanut flour? As far as I can tell, they are one in the same, defatted peanut butter. I am a tightwad and would prefer to get it at the lowest price. Byrd Mill has 5# for 23.00, macros are pretty much identical to PB2, about 1/3 less price. Any thoughts?

You can totally do that. PB2 is such a rip off since it's essentially defatted peanut flour and some additives that I rather don't put in my mouth. You simply have to stirr up the peanut flour with some liquid to make it creamy.
The added bonus is that you can use it in so many more ways than PB2.
I LOVE peanut flour! I mainly use it to boost my yoghurt with some extra protein and nutty flavor.
After TJ discontinued it in their stores I am now getting it online.
The website Iherb.com carries it and it's even cheaper as at TJ's!
FYI: You can use the code BUY183 and save 10$ on your order.0
