Gastric Bypass - Taboo?
Hi Everyone, I'm new to this site and am really enjoying reading everything. I've been all sizes throughout my life. I'm 5'5" and have gone from 130 up all the way to 332 at times in my life. My "most common" weight was around 185 - 190. But like I said, I've experienced weight gains and losses of all types and have…

Looking for friends
I've been here since 11/2010. I'm down 166 pounds and I love MFP. I'm in the process of going 100% vegan from a vegetarian diet. I am having some difficulty giving up cheese, but everything else is good. I would love to make more vegan/veggie friends so I can inspire and be inspired.

So IDK
I'm disgusted with food right now. Disgusted, annoyed and irritated. I don't even know what kind of label /eating disorder this is. It's not bulimia. I don't binge and purge right now. It's not food restriction. I'm not restricting anything, I'm just not interested. It's not anorexia, I'm too fat for that. And I'm…

What's Your Current Struggle?
IDK how to even talk about mine. Food restriction? Bulimia? Anorexia? Someone said I was anorexic the other day. I highly disagree. I can't possibly be 163 pounds and anorexic. But it did cause me to look at recent food behavior.

New All Vegetaria/Vegan drive-thru - the Anti-McDonald's
How cool is this?! America is getting another all-vegetarian drive-thru next month. Amy's Kitchen, a company known for its vegetarian convenience food and frozen meals, will open its first restaurant in Rohnert Park, California, a city north of San Francisco.…

Syncing with Myfitnesspal.com Quest
I just got my FitBit Charge HR yesterday and it syncs with MFP but it tells you that you have to only log your exercise on MFP to avoid doubling. But it's already putting in adjustments on MFP. Does anyone know how this really works. Is it just regular exercise that I log on MFP? FITBIT just does steps? I'm confused.…

Anyone on a Raw Diet?
I have been vegetarian for quite awhile and had been contemplating going vegan for several years but kept having issues with cheese and yogurt. Those were my only hangups. Well, after a lot of research and facing the facts about what is currently accepted as "food" in our country, I've decided to go raw. I'm really excited…

Reasons to avoid soy at all costs
This was a surprise to me. Although I stopped eating soy awhile aback as a natural change, it used to be one of the things I ate regularly for my protein intake through protein powders. What do you think? http://fitlife.tv/10-reasons-to-avoid-soy-at-all-costs/…

White sugar non-vegan?
So I've been saying that I follow a vegan diet. I don't eat any animal products. If it was meant to have a pulse or a face I don't eat it or any of it's byproducts. Now I read an article by PETA that proposes that white sugar may be considered non-vegan.…

Day 2 - Successful
Well, it is day 2 of the challenge and I did okay. I set my sugar intake back down to MFP's default at 36 and I stayed under that TODAY. However, I've decided that I'm not going to let that sugar number define how I feel about whether my day has been successful or not. As long as I continue to eat just sugar in it's…

Sweet Potato Burger
This just looks so yummy I had to share. I'd do some Ezekiel Bread instead of the buns, leave out the olive oil probably leave out the maple syrup. I don't know what I'd do to substitute for the Greek Yogurt though. Any ideas?…
