Losing while on meds?
So I'm on celexa and risperidone, was put on it pretty recently, and was wondering if anyone else has had an experience with these medications and weight loss? Doctor says I'll prolly gain 5-6lbs since I'm on a fairly average dose and that regular exercise and careful diet, etc, will help. Strength training specifically…

Stupid question! Protecting wounds?
I cut my thigh up kinda nasty last night and it's a bit bigger than what a bandage would be able to cover so I've been airing it out. However I want to work out (and may have to use a knee brace since my knees been acting up on me) so any suggestions on how to keep it protected? Maybe I should work it naked. : P…

What would you do if you were the opposite sex?
You wake up one morning and find you have the opposite set of plumbing you did before. You don't know how long you're going to be stuck this way and you still have to deal with family and work. Wat do? (Aside from '*kitten*' you silly monkey creatures)

What do you do when you're bored?
Aside from work out. c: I enjoy the typical artsy-introvert stuff of 'reading, writing, drawing'. I enjoy getting righteously indignant as well and starting *kitten* storms as some people may have figured out, lol. Bought a couple of new books recently. Westerns!

Goal weight prediction calculators?
So I got curious last night and found a few calculators that predicted when abouts I'd be at my goal weight, doing what I'm doing now with MFP by plugging them into google. They all said that I should be at my goal weight by mid to late summer, which is pretty exciting but I was wondering if it was REALLY feasable. I'd…

Meal replacements?
So I'm concerned that I'm not eating enough some days and am considering meal replacements to augment this, shakes in particular as they go down easier. My BMR is 1700 or thereabouts, TDR more around the 2200 mark but I'm regularly netting around 800 instead, barely over 1200 total, with around 40 minutes of exercise on…

First time gym user. Advice?
My cousin bought me a gym pass for my BDay at the local recreation centre and I'm pretty excited about it, but the only gym I've used was the one at my highschool and that was over five years ago! I was wondering if you guys had any advice for a gym noob? Thanks!

Working out with hypoglycemia?
I don't doubt in the least that my sugars are low lately. I've been constantly dizzy (feeling heavy headed even when sitting down ffs) and my cognitive skills haven't been up to par, which are the two biggest alarm bells in my experience of dealing with this. I've been diagnosed with this since I was 17 or thereabouts.…

Exercise after the Flu?
Is this something I'm going to have to build up slowly, or should I be able to get right back at it? I've been wrestling with the flu since last Sunday, and now that I'm feeling better I had a massive pig out last night, and thusly tried to work it off. I fell into bed, asleep, after ten minutes of very slow walking on my…

Can someone check my food diary?
I'd really like some advice. Today and yesterday were bad days cus mom brought home pizza (I only ate two slices though! Today and yesterday) and I know I haven't broken the wall into no-junkfood-land so I'm still taking in a lot of that. I'm also pretty sure my carbs are too high? And probably my fat too. And I should…

Can I work out with my couch?
No, I mean, literally my couch. Lift that sucker with the knees and push it up with the arms however so many times it's required for me to 'feel the burn'. I would say it's approximately 40lbs (our loveseat is probably 20-30lbs), not that heavy for a couch but nonetheless. Do you guys think this is a good idea? Or should I…

Monitering junkfood intake!
So I've really just started doing this, and for the first week or two it was fine. We didn't have a lot of food in the house so it was hard to overeat, much less binge on the empty carbs and basic sugars that present themselves in junkfood. But that isn't the case anymore. Sad to say I had a chocolate turtle and four…

Whoops. Did I hurt myself? Or DOMS?
So the other day I pushed myself and did something around 25 squats, then a couple of hop scotches and lunges on top of that and I'm wondering if I hurt myself, as I am a newbtacular newb (25 was all I could handle! lol). Two and a half days later and my thighs are still very very sore especially when I replicate the…

Is this accurate?
Hello! I have a stair-climber that I use for my cardio but it doesn't appear to be listed under the excercise directory so I've been using the 'stair-treadmill ergometer' versus the walking option, as it is more vigorous than walking or at least feels that way. (Ten minutes of walking, even at 4mph doesn't quite get me up…
