I'm Back
After having to be out of exercising for 6 months due to back and hip injury I'm now released from the doctor to begin working back to where I was... But he told me to not jump in and try to start where I left off... that is so hard, but I don't want to re-injure myself... so I've been walking my 2 dogs 2 miles every night…

Resetting MFP Exercise list
Hey guys... I really don't know where to put this and this looks to the be the best location... I've also searched and did not find a topic like this. When I first began my journey I set up exercises and activities in my exercise log. I would like to get rid of some of those and do some "cleaning house" but can not figure…

Does it bother anyone...
I know that MFP depends on ads to help pay for this site, but really McDonalds... I keep seeing "Customer Appreciation Day" adds for buy one, get one for $ 0.25 for Big Macs or Quarter Pounders.... don't they know that this is hard for some people (like me!).... Does this bother anyone else? or is it just bothering me?

May not be a big deal but....
to me this is huge..... Even though the scales keep telling me that I've not lost any weight, in fact gained 1/2 pound (188# @ 5' 7.5") my measurements tell me I've made progress. On Tuesday 7/9, my measurements were: Hips - 43.5; Waist 43; Neck - 15.... today my measurements are: Hips - 43; Waist 42.5; Neck 14.5 ... I've…

Physically dragging?
Oven been working out for just over 3 weeks, and today has been a "rest" day for me.... My question is, the days that I work out, I feel like I can just keep going and going and have a lot of energy all day, clear up to when I go to bed....but on the days that are "rest" days I just feel draggy and don't have much…

calorie count
I have been reading all sorts of posts about how MFP is not accurate with calorie counts...then others list other devices that help them count calories but then I read how someone else says it's not accurate.... Is there something that does give accurate calorie counts, that doesn't cost an arm and leg to get...(or even a…

workout suggestion?
This may seem trivial, but just asking since oven been on this path for a little over 3weeks.... I don't workout with anyone, just by myself, however I am using an app on my iPad called "workout." It has a lot of different exercises, but I find that there are several with each target zone that I just can't do, whether it…

Workout and food
I don't know where this question needs to be, so will start here... I've been doing a lot of research and I keep finding that a person should eat a little something before working out. If a person works out in the morning and I do at 5:30 so i can be ready to go to work at 7:00, I don't have time to eat before and if I try…

Feeling like quitting this!
I am no longer drinking pop (haven't for 2 1/2 weeks), been drinking 6 - 9 bottles of water, and have been working out for 4 weeks.... and now I'm so frustrated from not losing any weight...I stepped on the scales at my normal time yesterday and according to it...I gained 4 pounds....how? And in a week.... I am watching…

Questions about Workout and Pain in Feet
2 questions 1. I have been working out for 3 weeks now (well a week off last week)... Every time I wear shoes, I get a really bad cramp in the outer arch of both my feet. I've gotten inserts for my shoes and I still have the same issue... When I work out barefooted, I do not have any issues... But I can't go outside and…

I'm new here on the forum!
My name is Linda....I'm turning the big 50 in August and I am finding that I am having issues losing weight and gaining back some tone in my muscles... I have heard that it is difficult to lose weight with menopause...so I'm assuming that is part of my issue here... I was doing a boot camp where I work at 6:00 in the…
