Back Surgery and Recovery
I'm having a microdiscectomy on two discs plus a little extra taken out in 2 weeks. Anyone out there had a surgery recovery where they maintained/lost weight? Also, is there anyone out there who has had this type of surgery? Any stories or advice on how you felt during recovery and getting back to working out?

Back-friendly Strength Training??
Does anybody do any lower lumbar-friendly strength training? I've never been able to do any (trust me, I've tried a lot of methods) because my back would go out. However, after I have the surgery and recovery, I'm ready to slowly get back into gaining some muscle- I lose weight so much faster if I gain muscle first. Anyone…

Polar FT4 or MIO??
I've heard great things about the polar FT4, but the MIO Drive + also counts calories burned AND doesn't need a chest strap. Seems easier to just have to wear the watch...anyone have experience with these?? Does the chest strap slip and is it annoying with the Polar???

NEED ADVICE: Strength Training w/lower back issues?
I have a lot of lower back issues-- herniated disk, dessicated disks, sciatica- you name it. I seem to do well with exercise until I start implementing strength training- then I'll have a back injury and will be out from exercise for a week. Eating back Breast Feeding Cals??
I know its important to eat back your exercise calories you burn, but what about breast feeding calories? Its 500 cals a day you supposedly burn creating breast milk, but are they as important to eat back as the exercise calories?
