Congrats this is the first time anyone has made me laugh in these dumb conversations!

put them in the back of the freezer- out of sight, out of mind.

Wasabi & Soy Almonds are soooo good...filling? not so much, but they take the edge of hunger and with the spice on them they take away cravings!

I have the same problem. Any sort of calorie deficit for me, I lose my breast milk first. The only way to keep a full supply I feel is to eat enough calories to maintain or gain weight. My baby is 7 months today and so I started dieting about a month ago so I can use my frozen milk supply as back-up and even in the first…

Yoshi's Island! anyone? also, donkey kong and original tetris

large banana, light greek yogurt (more filling, high protein, low sugar/carb), and yes hard boiled eggs. Don't be skimpy on breakfast if you're feeling hungry through the day.

I agree with the people who say concentrate on food habits first, then incorporate exercise. Exercising a bunch right off the bat is going to make you hungry which will of course make it very hard to consume less than your usual. Get your stomach and body used to the new calorie intake and then start walking...get that…

Yes, it might be your SI joint, espeicially if you're having trouble going from sitting to standing (a red flag). So ask yourself if your pain is in the outside, front or more towards the inside where it connects to your lower back (as if you can't rub it). Might want to see a chirporactor or spine specialist. Do SI joint…

Wish you could have the surgery without the injections! I feel amazing and I had such a quick recovery! They're just masking the problem. I hope it works for you of course!!! Didn't mean to be negative, I want you to feel good!

Welcome! I'm not so sure this group is checked in by everyone very often. I had major back pain up until my back surgery a few months ago and am now pain free thank goodness. Now I'm working on those last 20lbs! Hope MFP works for you!!

I just discovered Laughing cow light cheese wedges- a little goes a long way, and they're really good. I eat them with carrots. Fiber one bars are an easy pack and are tasty. Of course fruit and yogurts... you have to keep them cold though. Turkey dogs, and if you shop at Sam's they have a Garlic and Mozzerella Chicken…

Thank you- used someone's calculator which gave me 29 points, so I will first try that then maybe lessen it some.

group fitness is fun and time flies! I do core and body toning in a class and that seems to help a lot- no counting in your head!

Decatur!!

I know exactly what you mean. Your mind is wanting to dance and your body is saying NO!

You've got to allow some of yoru favorite food sometimes or otherwise you will go off the deep end. At least you logged it and you said you went to the gym today, you're fine!!

me too!!!! I've lost weight 3 times since college and was a beautiful 150 for a couple months, and then it comes back on. After the baby weight came off last year i was at 185 and i'm at 170 now, but looking to be 150-155 and stay that way! I've been trying to figure out why it comes back on after I've worked so hard to…

Thank you both for replying, I will add you guys as friends. I've been told that my restrictions will be no bending or twisting at the waist and no picking up anything heavier than 10lbs for 4 weeks. I've also been told to do some walking everyday. I'm sure there will be more restrictions told to me closer to the surgery-…

Whats the point of being married then? If you choose to be with someone else or have multiple partners, don't get married.

I don't think you're foolish- if that is what you feel then that is what you feel! Do you think your back hurts from sneezing? Mine can go out on me sometimes from sneezing- puts too much sudden pressure on my bad discs. Is your back pain sharp or dull and achy (or both)? Also, make sure you take all things into account-…

Yes, will definitley keep everyone up to date, and will probably be on my laptop a lot bored out of my mind while recovering :)

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your story! I am so ready for this surgery- finally scheduled for March 14th, and i'm pumped to have it done. I just feel like I've tried everything but steroid injections- though I did try oral steroids which didn't help much, and I can either get worse or take a chance with surgery and…

Wow I really hope your appointment with the surgeon goes well and they can do something for you. I bet they suggest a fusion which would be a good choice for you at your age. I went to see a 2nd opinion spine surgeon on tuesday (lovely way to spend valentines day, 4 hours driving completley irritated my back!) and he is…

have you ever had a MRI done? It could very well be a herniated disk like you said. I know you are afraid of back surgery, BUT ...first off- everyone is different and responds to physical therapy different. In my case, I experience the same pain as you describe, I've been to 4 chiropractors/physical therapists, been…

Sorry to hear that. I HATE it when you are feeling good and you've been kicking *kitten* at the gym, then that one little thing happens and you suddenly feel so horrible. Then come the tears and the frustration. It will pass- keep a close watch on your calories and endulge in something you would do if you weren't at the…
