Sugar levels- what gives???
So I've been tracking my sugar levels on MFP for a few months now and I easily double the amount of sugar that MFP has set as my daily goal. I'm usually on a 1200-1400 calorie diet, but i'm also a runner so I try to avoid artificial sweetners when possible. And today at breakfast I had a yogurt and a banana and I'm already…

FRUSTRATED.
Ok, so since January I've really been kicking my butt in gear. I've been working out 6 days a week for the last 6 weeks, keeping my net calories around 1300-1400, and still no results. NONE. As of January 9 i was 132 and despite weekly fluctuations i am still at 132. I'm 5'5" and 21 years old and out of ideas. Yes, I'm…

plateau frustration...
so i reached a plateau last semester with my weight, which was fine because my goal while i was in school was to maintain my weight and not let school stress let me gain, which is pretty much exactly what happened. I only ran twice a week and just was consciencous of what i was eating. Now that i've started another co-op…

I'm an engineer and i live in the north east, so I am pretty much as pale as you can possibly be (There are vampires that have a higher sunlight tolerance…

Half Marathon Training
I'm thinking about running a half marathon in November, so I'm looking for a training program. Does anyone know of any good ones or ones they've enjoyed? I'm looking for something about 9-11 weeks long, and about 4 run days a week. Any other training advice is greatly appreciated :)

For those of you using a heart rate monitor....
for those of you who use heart rate monitors - how do you determine how many calories you've burned? I used mine to do some circuit training and didnt think it was as exhausting as when i run, but my average heart rate was 144 for 26 minutes and then 126 for 9 minutes so i googled a calculator and it said 435 calories…

Should I be eating back my exercise calories?
I've heard comments on trying to to eat back their exercise calories, but I'm not sure if that's very healthy. My goal is to eat 1200 calories, but of course after I do a 4 mile run, that makes my net calorie intake 800 calories and I'm sure that's not enough fuel for my body or very healthy at all. When experts say that…

Protein powder?
I've recently started running in the morning before work and have been making smoothies to take in as my breakfast. I've thought about adding protein powder because you're supposed to eat a high-protein post-workout snack. Any recommendations for a good protein powder to throw in to my smoothies? I'm not looking to bulk up…
