Jillian Michaels - will HRM record calories accurately?
I hope my HRM is accurate for this one, it said I burned loads! I know HRMs can accurately record cardio workouts and the JM workouts are cardio / circuits, so it should be accurate, right?

Easter Sunday write off - chocolate everywhere!
It may be a cliché, but I think it's safe to say that the diet is going to have to (re) start on Monday. I'm going to try not to beat myself up about it, start the new week with a healthy attitude & just enjoy the rest of the day. Anyone else on chocolate overload?

Ill and fallen off the food wagon
This last week it's been one thing after another. First I had a stomach bug, then my eldest had it so I was up all night with him, then straight after that I got this wired flu virus that has knocked me on my *kitten*. On top of that, my toddler gets up by 5 every morning, so I'm just exhausted. I'm at my goal & in…

The best Jillian Michaels Workout?
I'm thinking of downloading one of the Jilliam Michaels workouts from iTunes to try. If I have to pick just one, which would you go for? The deciding factor for me would probably be the one with the highest calorie burn. Would love to hear your thoughts!

What are your activity level settings?
Just curious what everyone else has theirs at...... Mine is set to sedentary, even though I'm quite active. My FitBit gives me extra calories for steps taken & I add exercise manually. Is this the best way? Or should my activity level be set higher? If your activity level is higher, do you still add exercise to your diary?…

How do you know which food to pick from the database?
Hi all, Quick question - how do you make YOUR selection from the food database when there are multiple entries for one item? Obviously, if it comes in a packet, I double check the nutritional information there. If we're dining out, I check to see if the place has a website with calorie info. So really my question relates…

HRM for monitoring calories in strength training?
I'm using a FitBit to monitor my calorie burn for fog about my daily life & a HRM for cardio workouts. I'm quite pleased at how accurate I feel the calorie records are for these 2 activities, which only leaves strength & toning work. I read somewhere that a HRM is not going to be accurate at recording strength work as…

Exercise bike - most accurate calories? Help please!
I've started using an exercise bike, cycling along to instructions from a spinning app. The app says I've burned X calories, the bike says Y, but neither take into account my height, weight, etc. I know the most accurate way to monitor my calories would be to invest in a heart rate monitor, but is there a way to accurately…
